Why are you guys hating on this card so much? You don’t need to play a massive board for him to b valuable so it isn’t really a problem to play a bunch of elemental to telegraph your playing of him, just play one or two. Yes he is rather vulnerable to hard removal and silences but is that really that bad? Your opponent will have a limit to the amount of removal they can have in their deck, and either they won’t have it when Ozruk is played, used it earlier in the game, or use it on Ozruk paving the way for your even more dangerous elementals.
I played a game with him,got dropped to 2 health then played a 5/40 Ozruk…
He had no removal left and lost the game…
If you adapt it with not targetable by spells or heropowers, it could be pretty op
We did it guys, we found the worst card of the set ! Maybe Blizzard will give some awfull filler cards to prevent Ozruk being rated “The worst”.
Hidden text: draw your opponent a hard removal
Is it bad that I want to try this guy and Inner Fire?
Soggoth is always better, because The directive was removed from the control decks. And from agro it is necessary to be able to live and play the elementals. With a card that will disperse 15 damage randomly, the shaman’s control archetype will cope with any aggressive deck
The worst part of this card is that the enemy will definitely know if you are going to play it next turn, which will inrease its chance of being removed dramatically. Unless a card is made that makes your next elemental considerably cheaper or something, both this and Pyros will be only worth 400 dust.
I think the biggest problem here is that you tell your oponent what you are going to play next turn, otherwise its not good at its spot. Imagine you are playing something like 3 small elementals on 8 wich is a big tempo loss and your oponent can plan one turn ahead and for example save that hex and play more creedy.
Innerfire Priest buff…woot!
I suspect Priest isn’t going to have great Elemental synergy though…
Mind, if you play it against a Priest there’s a chance they can OTK you with your own card – Pint Size Potion > Potion of Madness > Inner Fire.
They did say priest would be one of the three classes that had elementals, along with Mage and Shaman.
This card is not that great in my opinion because even if you get a 5/500 taunt, there are a lot of ways to just remove it with spells like sap, polymorph, hex, devolve, assasinate, blastcrystal potion, all adapt/poisonous cards, execute and the list goes on and on. If you wanna play a 9 mana taunt then just play soggoth because he cannot be targeted by spells
Yes but guess who doesnt play this kind of stuff? Jade druid. Having an enormous taunt on the board can buy you just enough time to setup lethal board behind it. Control warrior is not a thing as long as jade is alive and aggro warriors have lost or won the game by turn 9. Assassinate does not see play. So far adapt cards we have seen are not really viable and if you play a shitload of elementals turn before this, the opponent is forced to deal with those with a possible AoE or he might as well lose already, not leaving any mana to play any adapt stuff.
They have mulch, ya know?
I see minority use it, but when the meta change and they see the need of removal, mulch can always come into play.
Except Mulch is TGT and will be rotating out… Naturalize or Adapt > Poisonous will be the main Druid hard removals I think.
My thoughts precisely. Adapt cards are neither guaranteed to grant poisonous, the chance is just 30%. Even when granted, the elementals you played last turn can simply get rid of the poisonous card. If the adapt minion does not grant poisonous, you simply just wasted a card by playing a minion that the elementals / Ozruk will just eat on the next turn. Even by playing the new one drop, Firefly, you get 5/15 taunt.
I’ve seen a couple druids run naturalize. They have removal, even if its bad.
I actually prefer naturalize, because works better with auctioneer to come back on the board and draw some cards. But yeah, molch is great 2.
There is molch still in jade druid and chance is he will draw it before turn 9. If this card gets played and he sees you playing elementals, oh, he will keep that card in hand just for this.
You maybe have more big elementals to make your opponent play something to kill them so then you play this. For example: Midrange shaman has just 2 hex. You play pyros. One hex is gone cause of the value. You play something like Cairne cause your playing a nzoth version. Second hex is gone. You play this. Auto concete!
The problem with that is pyros is garbage and no one would waste a hex on that. Pyros just has really poor stats
Earth shock sats hello
Elemental Priest deck incoming.
3 years later, blizzard still didn’t notice that non-reactive 9 mana card are not played.
In arena he is a stant win if you get some sinergy but sadly anywher else he is risky to use like the 5/9 untarguetable that never saw much play , but since we need to have some bad cards Im happy that he is not that unplayable and probably can be In a real deck someday

BREAK YOUSELVES UPON MY BODY, FEEL THE STENGTH OF THE EARTH
Rise mountains rise!!
Very meh.. even if you get a 9 mana 5-20 taunt with this, is that really a strong enough combo?
If your opponent has no hard removal then yes, yes it is strong enough. A 5-15 in most cases would be good enough. However in most cases your opponent will see that you’re dumping all your Elemental cards out on the board when you also have 9 mana on the next turn and probably find a way to play around it. The new adapt mechanic can roll Poisonous which also destroys this card pretty hard.
