One of the best cards of the set and it’s a neutral card. People are underrating this hard. 5/5
Personally, I just see a Hozen Healer. Restoring health to a minion is usually not worth including. Aggro Decks dont have enough health, big minion decks need every slot they can get for control spells and Big Priest/Shaman cant use it because it ruins Muckmorpher/Ressurect. Even if there is a deck that could use it, it would most likely be replaced by Earthen Ring Farseer because it can also heal face and therefor it wont be a 2 mana 2/3 without anything most of the time.
This is for standart only, Arena will most likely love it.
Priest really likes this. That’s about it. 3/5
It’s good. Hand decks can use it but otherwise I don’t think it’ll really see play. I’m just kinda comparing ti to Hozen Healer but..
2/5 for having a niche in Standard but 5/5 in Arena.
Directly into silence priest.
Great card it will definitely see play especially in hand decks, big minion decks, and I’ll bet it will see play in taunt warrior.
The fact it can restore 2 minions to full health is a big deal especially when you look at this be reborn mechanic. You could also see it played in a warrior running Bloodsworn Mercenary cloning damaged minions wasn’t that great except for burst cards so how about adding a 2 cost that would put both minions up to full health at 5 Mana cost to do the combo.
Big minions go face. They don’t want this card. Warriors aren’t gonna be playing Bloodsworn Mercernary.
This isn’t a rotation expansion. Warrior has two quality decks. They ain’t going anywhere. There is no reason for playing Midrange Taunt Warrior, or Enrage Warrior or any other archetype.
And yet you don’t get it outside of wild and standard there’s 2 sub types of games ranked and unranked. Ranked is where you see all the big decks that are mostly reliable for that class. Unranked is where you still see those decks but your also likely to run into decks that are run for the meme kills. I’ve put together decks several times in there just to kill someone with a chicken only disappointment is some people quit right before I could make the attack.
Unranked is also where new deck types are experimented with and as for big minions go face that doesn’t mean anything if opponents tossing out cards with taunt. This allows you to smash a taunt then put the minion right back up to full health. And if not taunt it could be you need to smash a minion that would be threatening YOU if you didn’t kill it.
So what are you saying? This is a good meme card?
I am speaking of the competitive value of the card. It’s good/ok/bad. I don’t give a hoot about memes or casual.
And that proves how bad you would be at describing potential of the card. You can’t give a card ratings based only on 1 specific style of play and no other. You would have to think of each possible play style the 3 big categories are wild, standard, and arena.
Besides competitive decks that would run this include silence priest and mecha pally. Silenve priest would use this to keep big minions alive, and mecha pally can use this to get there magnetized super mechs back up to full health. Problem that comes up with mech pally sometimes is the low attack high health of the magnetized and dieing before can do anything. I’d probably swap around maybe 1 of the faceless to be able to get that taunt mech back to full health. Or one of the technitions since only have value when have at least 3 minions in hand.
Agreed even if bomb warrior etc doesnt NEED it in most cases now, the meta for every other class is going to change too. Needing to slam other minions and heal them for value could very well become necessary. I think this card has potential in most classes and hopefully itll pull through because I like the new design on healing to full. (Also makes board layout more strategic and important, which I love to see more of)
Other thing to consider is how long some of these cards will be around and what value may have after rotation. This is a card that has value for any deck that may run big minions. Heck has nobody considered what this does for cards like Batterhead, Linecracker, and Moshogg Enforcer.
Batterhead smash enemies with rush and you can drop this to fix it’s health at 10 cost if needed.
Linecracker needs to overkill to power up well this could heal it back up to full if necessary.
Moshogg is a really common big taunt for certain priests big priest OTKs would in it counter to that was to at least cripple it so it couldn’t be turned into a beat stick. Well for 2 Mana you put it right back up to full health and can buff it up to have your beat stick back with 1 extra card.
“Warriors aren’t gonna play Bloodsworn Mercenary” LOL
In the past we’ve learned it’s hard to make use of minion-healing cards, but this has a good body and its healing effect is through the roof, so if any minion healer is gonna work it could be this one. Plus, synergy with Reborn!
I like this for a board-centric, tempo priest deck. It has a direct synergy with Injured Blademaster and Damaged Stegotron, but also with Hench-Clan Shadequill: you can use Shadequill to trade and then this guy to heal it up, or you can attack face with Shadequill then follow up with Auchenai Phantasm + Neferset Ritualist to kill your Shadequill for extra burst damage.
This guy also plays well with Extra Arms, since value trading with big minions and then healing them up is pretty good, and Northshire Cleric likes him since you can heal her for card draw and simultaneously develop your board, all for 2 mana.
None of this will turn the game on its head, they’re just small bonuses and synergies and this guy will oftentimes just be a turn 2 River Crocolisk, but I think he can be a solid role-player for Priest. 3/5
Outside of shadequil burst this also can be used to manually trigger other death rattles you have on board if they are next to each other.
Agreed. I’m not sure how often you’ll want to go around killing your own minions, but having the option to do so never hurts 🙂
Good common card itself, but I doubt it will make into standard, because normally minions are totally removed, giving no space for healing like this. People saying this will have the 2 drop spot in token/agro decks can’t be serious.
lucentbark?
“What doesn’t blook you, will grook you… twice!”
I had a vague hunch that Boomsday and subsequent expansions were revisiting themes of previous sets – Boomsday to GvG, Rastakhan’s to TGT, Rise of Shadows referencing Old Gods with Lazul. With handbuffing returning it’s fun to see Mean Streets of Gadgetzan getting referenced – and at least Blizzard hasn’t revisited the degeneracy of Jade Golems.
What do you mean Blizzard hasn’t revisited the degeneracy of Jade Golems? Haven’t you heard of our lord and saviour Pogo Rogue.
The card looks good. It should be priest, nonetheless.
my first thought was: Priest ?
obviously great synergy with huge or buffed minions + cleric ?
Fantastic arena card,
Also has great synergy with Auchanai Soul Priest
A very useful card for sure, But I have no idea where this deck can be played, other Big, Token, Aggro or Midrange. It does deserve 3 stars though, at the very least.
Interesing effect in a aggro/token based deck also good battlecry for Shaman Quest. 4/5.
