It’s an interesting card for wild, simply due to the greater diversity of cards; playing this on Sylvanas, Sneed’s Old Shredder or Cairne Bloodhoof could be a game changer. It also works well with the new Rogue legendary this expansion; Myra Rotspring. One could even have fun with Feugen and Stalagg.
– I might be wrong, but I think this will see use, certainly in Wild, but also in standard.
Also, if you are into Jade, Rogue Jade which is simply meme in Wild might get a nice boost from this as well, Arya Blackpaw or the Jade Swarmer minion. Suddenly so much more Rogue Jade!
This maybe work with Mecha’thue, idk…
What would be the point of destroying the hero twice???
Won’t work. Mecha thune would still be on the board. It actually has to die.
LUL ROGUE ONLY CARD LUL NOT DRUID OR HUNTER LUL GOOD CHOICE LUL
Necrium Vial a powerful effect on a card that is probably a tad over costed. One would have to play this targeting Mechanical Welp in order to really make it worth it when it is costed like it is. If anything, Rogue has Preparation, but spells in Rogue shouldn’t be made deliberately too expensive because they have what is probably the best zero cost card in the game.
As far as the costing goes, it does make sense since triggering Deathrattles like the aforementioned Mechanical Welp twice is extremely powerful, but it probably could’ve been costed at four instead given how stuff like Play Dead and Terrorscale Stalker only recently started seeing play in Hunter.
5 draw 2 wow
Now you can win a Game twice!
Nope
Win this game and the next one for free! 😀
Rogue has been getting very interesting cards this expo, but come on, this spell is overcosted AF. Play Dead triggers a Deathrattle once for 1 mana, and its low cost allows it to combo powerfully, as we have seen in Hunter. Hunter also bas a 3/3 for 3 that triggers a Deathrattle. This should be a 3 cost spell, since it leaves no body behind. But it’s 5 because of Prep. Seriously, Prep needs to be HoF’ed, or else cool Rogue spells like this one will continue to be overcosted. We already suffered this with WANTED! in Witchwood (awesome card for flavor, but should have costed 3 mana, not 4), and now with this again. Because it’s overcosted, it will probably only see play in the Malygos OTK that people are suggesting, since this provides close to no tempo. 1.5/5 stars in general, 3.5/5 stars in Malygos OTK with Kobold Illusionist.
Or probably because of Rogue’s interaction with deathrattles being different than hunter. You got new leg that pulls out a deathrattle and the new 2/4 that summons a poisonous rush minion
Good with prep and that’s about it. More value more Deathrattle ez cube ez game ez life
4/5
Cube Rogue incoming!
Egg rogue is coming !
so 2 5/5 devilsaurs are better than, say, 2 1/1 spell damage +5?
Just depends wich deck you are playing. But ofc i ll test malygos rogue too. The eternal problem will be aggro matchups wich can be a bit easier with egg/cube rogue.
I love playing deathrattle rogue, but actually i dont think this “trigger” cards fit the deck that much. They make more sense in a tempo/combo oriented deck with a couple of strong deathrattles such as devilsaur egg/ carnivorous cube.
Insane Wild card.
Sneeds, Sylvanas, Cube.
And you can even Prep it.
Where is Mecha’Zoth?
Someone will find a way to use this. I suppose you can shadowstep a kobold illusionist and then play it later, prep this, backstab and break necrium blade when you only have malygos in your hand to get +20 spell damage. Only way it’s playable, while prepped. 3 stars.
Kobold costs 4, this costs 5 so no need for shadowstep.
I was thinking about having room for casting a ton of spells after. I suppose you don’t need shadowstep if you’re going to prep, or you don’t need prep if you’re going to shadowstep, because with 20 spell damage, if you have 2 sinister strike it’s a kill unless it’s an especially armor druid. You need either shadowstep or prep if you’re going to not save coin or find a way to run WANTED!.
With this and the new weapon I am definitely trying malygos rogue this season. Turn 9: play kobold illusionist, necrium vial, backstab your kobold and enjoy the 4 malygos giving +20 damage to your burst spells.
If you prep this you can also OTK in the same turn. You only spend 6 mana in that way, and then just two sinister strike and an eviscerate is 87 damage. It’s insane.
71* quick maffs
Indeed, it scares me how many insane cards rogue is getting this season.
I had made a maly rogue when I saw Necrium Blade, I think I put in 2 Blade. Is 1 blade enough, do you think, to replace with this?
Depends on the meta I suppose. Weapon is faster and gives you more flexibility against aggro decks that are main counters to combo. I would try 2 since you can still use one kobold for massive fan of knives clear if needed.
Well, I’m unsure if the base malyrogue I found is the most common, but basically I took out both Wanted, Umbra, and a Cheat death for a 2nd gadgetzan, 2 Necrium Blade, and 1 Necrium Vial.
Pairs well with mecha’thun to doubly ensure opponent is dead. 5 stars
perfect for this week brawl.
what how do you know the next brawl wutface
Mecha’Thun would still be on board, his deathrattle requires you have no minions on board.
Doesn’t even work.
x2 the disappointment! 😀
