This thing is so unfun. I’ve had it played against me in two games so far…
It’s singlehandedly won the game both times..
Game 1 a priest plays it on turn 5 with the tutor a minion and discount it by 2 and hits my Alexstraza, I spend everything to kill the damn 12/12 the. He raise dead and hits my stonemaul anchorman card draw the raise dead’s again and hits another two cards. I just lost with my hand being deleted and tempo massive minions …. No counterplay possible other than play aggro….
Game 2 against a warrior who played it on turn 8 I had a hand filled with 4 1/1 rush minions, a parade leader, stonemaul anchorman, rattlegore and etc… Which do you think he hit… Then I couldn’t do much to kill it at that point and died against the 12/12 2 turns later having lost my main victory condition in that matchup …
The card just destroys control match-ups…
I hate this card like dirty rat, don’t mess with my hand, it’s not fun.
This is the Universal Card that you want to play if you like Alexstrasza, but you’re dealing with minions and not Execution Damage.
It’s still good, It’s just that Alexstrasza is better. But having 2 different versions of Alexstraszas is also just as interesting. 3 Stars.
Strong in wild with Scargil. Otherwise, won’t see play unless there are other murloc-specific discount mechanics. Unless the meta flips to big decks that make this, on average, a big boy.
What is up with the tickatus comments? You know damn well this is just going to eat the 1-3 soul fragment demon. Also the last time I checked paladin was still sh*tting on everyone, good luck winning when you eat a 1-1 paladin minion.
Basically 7 mana draw a card. Wont see play.
Or more like 7 mana dirty rat.
Dirty rat plays an opponent card…this eats it.
7 mana draw a card? This does not make sense
”Destroying” a random opponent card is basically the same as putting it back at the bottom of their deck as long as the game doesnt go to fatigue. Which is basically -1 card advantage for your opponent or +1 for you. The disruption part is too unreliable to actually rely on.
Putting a minion at the bottom means it can still be drawn by any other card (draw a beast, draw your highest cost card, etc). Destroyed prevents any drawing of it…natural or otherwise.
Thats …. why i said as long as game doesnt go to fatigue. How many of your games go to fatigue? Sure its not a perfect metaphor but its the most realistic way of looking at it. Dont worry mate, all it takes for people to realize how garbage this card is to play it. Basically an understated 7 mana card that draws you a card and very rarely burns an important card.
Hit enter instead of space. Any card at the bottom can also be shuffled from the bottom by shuffling ANY card into the deck (soul fragments, beast copy, etc)
ehh… drawing card and discarding yours opponents minion is a way diferrent thing. You can discard his old god or his tickatus or somthing like that which is basically destroying a win condition. Plus its going to be like 14/14 for seven mana if you get lucky. Of course it can eat some trash and do nothing but that is just about when you play it.
No its not. Card is way too unreliable for disruption. The only thing its good for is card advantage which is why i keep referencing drawing a card. Its way too overpriced for what it does. It has been out already, how trash it is should be clear, feel free to use it.
Possible combo with Southsea Scoundrel? It isn’t a guarantee, but it increases the likelihood that you will eat the minion you want.
Also Shaman still has Scargil in wild, so this could be played on turn 5 for a lot of stats.
Battlecry destroy 1 card and present a body that demand an answer. This card is auto +1 and especially useful in control matchup.
At first glance, the card may seem like disruption but the effect is too random to be reliable so outside of control deck I dont think this card will be used anywhere else. Priest with Illucia will be extra annoying.
This card is overrated, will see play if a combo deck becomes very popular if not I see 7 mana do almost nothing unless you eat a relevant win condition
Comments below are not thinking current meta if they are thinking just Tickatus. Il’gynoth definitely a target. Eating Taelin Fordring would be nice, as would Alextrazza. Lady Liadrin would be tasty, as would Rokara. Yes, there are some bad minions it could eat (and the card would be almost useless against no minion decks) but even with the RNG, the chance to destroy a OTK combination is invaluable (and should give the OTK player things to think about!).
Not being able to control the target is some bad.
You can do fantasies about hitting just the right card….
like hitting Mindreader Illucia if you are trying to protect a combo.
But you are going to have to be the most skilled player in Hearthstone to know exactly when your opponent has just one target and the target is good – or multiple targets all of which would be good.
Against control warlock want to hit a 1/3 that puts two soul fragments into her deck?
You are fighting secret paladin and want to hit N’Zoth?
Well, lucky you, you hit crabrider.
Want to be sure to kill ten cards out of your opponent’s deck.
Don’t play a big murloc hoping to hit Tickatus.
Play Tickatus.
Want to win games?
Don’t play either.
From now on, when I play wow in wailing caverns, I will say that this is the murloc that devoured a demon called tickatus hahahahah really good!!! and also others legendaries!
For standard, I don’t see it being competitive. There is no way to trigger the battlecry twice. It is also too slow to play competitively. The only small upside I see that it can corrupt Tickatus. I look ward to playing this in a fun, non-competitive deck.
When wild hostage shaman could still get coutered by cards in enemy hand: which hand?
XD looking forward to it 🙂
Well, that’s… certainly a card. It may be pretty good, especially when it eats a Ticketus. It’s probably a little meta-dependant though since it can low-roll almost as much as it can high-roll (7 mana 6/7 anyone? Thought not, although the upside of eating a Sethekk Veilweaver may be enough to compensate). 3.5/5
Mutanus the Poggerer
Seems unnecessary to include in decks.
I feel like if this sees play, it may be mainly a Priest card to counter Warlocks
I could see trying to find a place for this in most the current N’Zoth decks
Not sure why n’zoth it would just be a 4/4 when summoned back
Haha okay better than expected.
He is going to need to be feed Tickatuses.
This one is not out yet and players are already requesting a nerf.
Seriously? I’d say dirty rat is a better card than this. At least rat can be relevant into aggro.
Interfering with people’s hands again getting pretty blasé about this now.
…which is surely a good thing, since it makes combo decks more interactive, although I’d prefer it if it was permanent (more to the tune of Glide, Stelina, Felsoul Jailer)
