this should be used to gain crystal. Turn 2 wild growth turn 3 this is really strong now you have 6 mana on turn 4. It’s effectively wild growth + 3/3 for 2 mana.

This card is much better than darnasus as there’s no deathrattle.

on top of that druid lacks a good 4 drop minion. Keeper is great but it requires good targets, druids usually run pioleted shredder which is a sign of a class lacking good 4 drops. With high mana cards in hand i’d play this over shredder.

Has anyone given this any thought. 3/3 for 4 mana.

Okay so lets say you pick slime, which you really won’t a lot of the time, but thats effectively a 5/5 for 4 mana AND the resources are split which is better for druid, (With Savage Roar etc). A lot of people saying a good arena card, but I think this is really an amazing constructed card, the problem with wild growth has always been if you don’t draw it early it has hardly any effect. Yes it is true you get a free card with it on turn 10, but in a lot of match ups turn 10 is a long way away. This card is good even if it has been drawn later in the game. Great for setting up a combo and ramping and a very good replacement for shredder. I would even say if you were able to use these OR shredder I would defiantly go Mire Keeper. (I made legend last season with druid).

Does the slime have any effects?

Definitely a great card in arena (compare to Silver Hand Knight, which is great in arena) and the mana crystal option could be valuable if you miss a beat on your curve. I don’t think too highly of this card in constructed though because it is just a body or situational and less impact ramp.

this card cant be a substitute for a mighty piloted shredder i think

I kinda like that Darnassus Aspirant/Vanilla Wild Growth can ramp directly into this, making the 3/3 body almost on curve while still ramping even further, putting you 2 mana ahead in the ideal scenario or giving you a pretty mean roar setup.

Seems solid. You’re either getting 4.5 mana of stats or 2.5 mana of stats plus a 2-mana effect.

    1) Choosing the Ooze

The split between two bodies will be an advantage in some situations and a disadvantage in others (consider Fireball vs. Consecration). In terms of playing on-curve, I’d probably prefer to have one body most of the time, as the two-body split makes it more vulnerable to 2- and 3-drops. If playing later in the game, two bodies might actually be better, as a big minion can only kill one of them at a time.

    2) Choosing the Wild Growth

This is obviously great value. You get the effect of Wild Growth without wasting a card to get it–you’ll still get SOME value out of the 3/3.

However, the playability might depend on other factors, namely if there are any great 6-drops for Druids. At the moment, the list of pretty-good 6-drops is:

    Cairne
    Sylvanas
    Emperor T
    Force of Nature
    Justicar
    Kodorider (fatigue Druid…?)
    Sunwalker
    Black Knight

Seems okay, but at the moment I’m not sold. Whatever 6-drop you’re playing on turn 5 would have to make up for you having played a 3/3 on turn 4. Emperor T maybe-kinda does that by virtue of having super-taunt and a big body, but the others, not quite as much.

If the meta does slow down as predicted, maybe it’s okay that the 6 slot isn’t super powerful and this option is just pushing you toward big taunts a turn earlier.

why in the name of all that is holy would you want to play reno on turn 5?

5/5 worth of stats over two minions or a Wild Growth attached to a 3/3 body? Seem pretty decent for 4 mana.

Seems ok, I wonder if you used gain an empty mana on turn 10 if you would get (excess mana) card.
Also with klaxxi amber weaver you would most like not run this in a c’thun deck but other druid archetypes could make use of it

Nope, you don’t gain an excess mana card. I just added that clarification to the card!

Pretty good in arena with a 3/3 and 2/2 for 4 mana, and if the wild growth effect is worth 2 mana, and 3/3 is worth 2.5 mana, there’s a ton of value in this card. Not to mention versatility and use in ramp druid.
