For Deathrattle Hunter Decks, this is actually nice, since you want the Deathrattle more than the body of the minion anyways. This is also nice for some Tempo / Aggro Hunters out there that want to Hit Face but hitting big, or even getting rid of a cheap minion. (Even if that does suck)

I actually see some Potential for Maxima Blastenheimer, giving my belief reference that it came from Oblivitron to an extent.

    4 Stars.

I see lots of awesome high rolls, but there’s so much risk due to current cheap minions run in hunter decks. You have to really limit your cheap minions, which I’ve never seen any hunter deck do. However, maybe it’s possible. Need early game spells. Carrion Studies, Tracking, Demon Companion, a couple secrets and Animal Companion? I think more is needed. Trying to carry hunter early game on spells isn’t there yet, but maybe this expansion will make it possible.

To be honest this card has massive potential, together with the new 7 mana 8/5. We’ll just have to see if Hunter gets any new Deathrattle synergy cards to make this work.

Putting “bad” cards in your deck to justify a one-of legendary never works out and it isn’t even like you can “cheese” it by using Polkelt to actually draw it consistently because any remotely worthwhile targets cost more than this.

2/10 Boomzooka saw literally 0 play and pulled 3x the minions.

I don’t think, that it need so many big guys to be worth the 6 mana, cause of its deathrattle synergy. Lets have a look to the deathrattle cards in standard available for hunter:

    6 mana 4/4 body with 6 face damage and 2x 2/2 body –> GREAT
6 mana 4/4 body with 1 face damage and another 4/4 Body –> Top
6 mana 4/4 body with 0 face damage and another 3/4 Body –> ok
6 mana 4/4 body with 4 face damage and a 3 cost beast –> Yeah, I take it
6 mana 4/4 body with 2 face damage and another 3 face Damage –> ok
6 mana 4/4 body with 2 face damage and a Prime in your deck –> in the right deck why not

I think there are possibilties to play this

    3.5/5

Naw bruh, what about the new 7 mana 8/5 that deals 4 2 damages upon death? That’s literally 16 damage guaranteed to the face instantly, if your opponent has no minions on board.

“Guarenteed” on you running literally no other minions and having massive bricks in your deck because holy hell is the tonk bad on its own. Oh and you have to draw a one of in a class that has no good draw options and can’t run the neutral ones.

exactly and everybody is mentioning this synergy several times. You can see it also in the announcement video. I would like to talk the maybe not so obvious options hunter could use

Oh yeah, you’re right. It says “summon a minion from your deck”, not “summon a deathrattle minion”. Didn’t think of that. Yeah, I guess this card wouldn’t really work unless you ran a deck full of heavy minions so you could deal maximum face damage.

But in the case that you do run a deck full of only heavy minions + this, this card could potentially be pretty juicy. Imagine pulling a Scrapyard Colossus, Plagued Protodrake, Colossus of the Moon, or Savannah Highmane out of this. You’d be dealing 6+ face damage instantly, plus getting a 4/4+ body afterwards. Not bad at all.

Good combo with Polkelt- 4mana + 6mana for ex. 12/12 face. 😉 or good deathrattle

I’m sure it’s busted in wild somehow, but I’m not smart enough to figure it out.

This clearly doesn’t have a deck to go in… yet.
Any deck that is running small minions will not want this. A Darkmoon Tonk would be an excellent pull, but if it grabs a small minion instead… a 4/4 plus a couple of points of damage to the opponent is not worth 6 mana.
That’s not to say we won’t see a deck with this. Hunter does have some cheap spells that create minions to fill out the lower end of the curve, and also plenty of ways of keeping the board clear until the mid-to-late game. We will have to see if this set brings enough to the table to make this work.

I like the idea, but it falls short due to lack of support. Hopefully we get more than just Darkmoon Tonk.

Big hunter will need a lot of support for cards like this to work. In general, I like my hunter decks nimble to complement the hero power, and restricting small minions has been tough in the past. Gonna guess 2/10.

Quite disappointing.. I guess they’re pushing big hunter but it’s gonna need massive amount of support to make it work and be worth the bother since face hunter is cheaper, more efficient and more consistent. Overall pretty disappointed.

2/5, might see play in some weird mid range deck but I doubt it.
