You know I think this is more a card you would prefer to discover instead of placing in deck if it ends up at bottom it’s basically worthless however if generate from RNG could drop it out easier.
Side note as a 1 cost this is a great card to have if using antonidas since guarantees 4 Mana is covered maybe even finish it in 1 turn if LPG discounted and was at 10 Mana.
What a great spell. let’s cast it again!
Cool card but the fact that it doesnt start on your hand troubles me and it May not be that much of a tempo spike
Honestly, I don’t think it will see play, I just kind of have a feeling. Ive been seeing new sets forever, and this card just strikes me as “wont work”. Just my opinion, don’t get your taco in a twist.
Pretty much almost Every single Mage will play this, Escpially Freeze Mage. 5 Stars.
I think it’s the same as quests but just not legendary, and you don’t have to build a deck around it
Also they do not start in your hand like normal Quests do.
Thank you for that clarification
I love quests and I love side quests. The idea is cool AF and I can’t wait to try the new cards when they go out. That being said, I am unsure about this card. Paying 1 mana for a 6/6 is powerful, but 8 mana is a ton of mana. First of all, the problem is that I don’t know what kind of deck would want to use a card like this. Not a control deck for sure, because it doesn’t need to outempo the opponent, but I feel like this is a bit heavy for tempo decks as well. Consider that you’d have to pay 2 secrets and an ancient mysteries at full cost to get the 6/6 and that you did lose card advantage to do basically nothing. I still have hope because if you compare it to rat trap it seems like there could be a place for this card in a tempo deck, but I think that only time will tell.
I think You are thinking You have to spend the 8 mana in 1 turn, no You can spend in múltiple turns, so You can for eg cast frostbolt and next turn a blizzard and left a 6/6 behind
No, I did know that you could pay for it on multiple turns. Still, I think that mage doesn’t have a good deck that might want to play this card. Would be good for secret tempo mage, but it would need more card draw.
Use this with antonidas and another cheap spell or complete in one turn for 10 Mana with a 1 cost antonidas.
I think these Will not start in your starting hand, and after You play it, it Will display as normal quest, but probbaly on the side or in other color… The rest it’s self explanatory: spend 8 mana on spells like shirvalah, and summon a 6/6… Pretty powerfull effect
Curious how this works . . . does it always start in your hand? Can you play it alongside a normal quest? What does the UI look like (how is it different)?
I think it works this way: you play it on turn 1 for example. Then, you spend the 8th mana on spells on turn 5 or 6 and you get a 6/6 body on board instantly. If It wouldn’t work like that, it would say: If you’ve spent 8 mana on spells….
Or did I miss something?
