Seriously? No one thought of this as a great enabler for zoo?
This card is low key OP. It plays the same effect that Galvanizer does for Mech Paladin – it reduces the cost of minions in your hand so that you can flood the board and achieve nearly incontestable dominance in the early game. You can coin this out on turn 1, and then proceed to summon all the 1-cost demons from your hand.
Best case scenario, you could potentially dump out your entire hand on turn one, and have four minions ready to attack the enemy hero by next turn.
This could go in a Handlock with Valdris, the 6 mana summoner and 2 more big Demons (Riftcleaver or the new 4 mana 12/12). A bit slow anyway, Galakrond seems stronger as of today.
That 4 cost 12/12 enters dormant like the darkness. Sadly we can’t cheat him out any other way than playing him.
Damm! so we can’t use it for the resummon pool! Thanks for the tip!
Might see play in Wild Cubelock as a smaller, earlier version of Gul’dan. In standard it’s in this weird space where you don’t want to run it in a Galakrond deck since you’ll just summon 1/1s, but the current best Control and Zoo Warlock builds utilize Galakrond. The original form also seems like it would go best with cheap demons, but the Prime wants you to have expensive ones. This will probably see play somewhere though.
DK Gul’Dan is trying to make a Comeback expect less Control-y. It just wants some of the Battlecry.
If you can somehow make copies of Kanrethad Prime, then you can have an Infinite Value of these guys just slowly and surely ruining your opponents day. I don’t think we have such a thing yet, however, but keep your eyes peeled for when you have that moment to strike in the next expansion or 5. 4 Stars.
This is rather nice it’s a cost reducer at start and then turns into a minion that summons demons you have lost. Unlike some of the others you would never play this with galakrond. However this is a nightmare auto include for cube lock in wild for some.
Not gonna lie I’m sick of this resurrecting demons shit. Why can’t they just let that stay with bloodreaver guldan. It’s not like priest is gonna let us forget bullshit resurrect effects anytime soon.
The fact is though it’s not to hard to ruin the Prime’s revive. We have a rather nice 3 cost 3/7 that’s gives opponent 3 1/1 demons so it’s a tech card against this and Rez priest. Especially useful if run a deck that can clear cheap minions easily.
Ok tokens been shown so the 3 cost can’t interfere meaning only option is that 4/4 that fills both boards with imps.
I am glad warlock didn‘t get two bad legendaries like last xpansion
Which one was good? This one is easy to interrupt, and it has anti Galakrond synergy and the other is a ‘reasonable’ removal or a miracle top deck 6 cost twisting nether with a 3/3 body. Neither is terrific, both are conditional but better than some the nether drake last expac was way too iffy, Tekhan needed more lackeys during his release but Erkh helped there, Shadows last year gave us Rafaam who was ultra swingy. Year of the raven gave us Morrigan, Hireek, Jeklik, and Crowskin which were not all that awe inspiring.
I think the prime legendary is better than the dragon last xpansion and I didn‘t like galakrond that much. But we will see if this cards gonna be good, I guess. I just like demons and I like control, so thats better than last december. 🙂
