Seems almost unplayable:
– the Tempo loss is very significant
– 3 mana for 4/5 is not a big deal this days.
– The payoff effect seems very clunky: you need minions in play (after you lost the borad on turn 3..) and cheap spell to activate, all of this to gain what? divine shield is not a thing in HS any more.
verdict: 1 star.
This card has it’s uses, escpially for when your opening up a Silver Hand Token Attack, but you need to think of it as just another Baloon Merchant, but you also need spells. It almost makes me think why we bother using Lothraxion anymore, since Dude Paladin has always been about Silver Hand Swarming, and getting all buffed up. The only real difference is that Imprisoned Celestial dosen’t give your Dudes also 1 Attack, otherwise it would feel like Dejavu; but judging that it looks like it was made for Dude Paladin, It’s Dejavu already.
Now, from what I’ve seen, Dude Paladin hasn’t been played all that much, however, once Evolve Shaman gets enough Nerfs, I think Dude Paladin would be the Next Class to Strikewith his Token Army. 4 Stars.
Turn 3 play this, turn 4 corrupt Day at the Faire and turn 5 play it for a bunch of Divine Shield dudes. Seems kinda like a finicky card overall, but maybe.
A Problem with turn 4 Day at the fair is that enemies can easily get rid of your idea, because you just made it too obvious. The Spellburst It’s first the Summoning, and then the Spellburst Activation. So you’re not as strict as you imagine. So you can just for Imprisoned Celestial to wait for it’s Dormant, then it gives your 5 dudes the Divine shield.
I can see this being really good in add paladin. Only problem is that it does result in a mediocre turn 3.
