Interesting applications with sergeant sally in wild. Amet + Sally + Topsy Turvy + Holy Smite is an 8 mana, deal 7 to all enemy minions. Can be done in one turn. It’s no Earthquake, but this is Priest. It doesn’t get the caliber of cards Shaman does.
Crazy in a zoo deck. Crazy in a divine spirit inner fire deck. Crazy in a star aligner deck (I have my hopes). Priest has been saved. 5/5
This synergizes pretty well with faceless rager. watch out for that combo.
you play a ressurect priest and end up with two coppies on board one of them gets attacked and ends up with 3 health what happens when you summon your next minion does does its health become 3 or 7?
I *think* it depends on the order in which the Amets hit the board – the original Amet should trigger first, then the copy; IIRC Sylvanas vs Sylvanas has a similar consideration.
This card: exists
Magma Rager: Hold my bear…
Ragers get support from big butt Addled Grizzly, how many Ragers have we got? Magma,Steel, Faceless are we missing any others? Also will Faceless enter as a 5/x or as a 5/7?
I think a 5/7. Also playing Twilight Drake with this on board gives you a 4/7+x where x is the number of cards in hand. For example with five extra cards in hand that’s a 4/12 and a 2/7 for 8 mana (and 2 cards)
is that true? i’m not sure about how things work anymore. I remember reading the action order update notes like three years ago but i cant remember it. do battlecries trigger after everything. (I also remember that “whenever” and “after” trigger at different times im guessing “whenever” triggers before battlecries and “after” triggers when the battlecry ends ((oh i think i just answered my question… nevermind)))
OwO Star aligned daddy approves
This + Boar + Divine Spirit 2x + Topsy Turvy = Ez rank 1. I like this card, buffing it in any way makes it really really good. 4/5.
For a combo deck to work, you need to survive long enough. With psychic scream gone (to wild), this is very hard atm.
Plague of Death
gottem
This card is going to raise some eyebrows for Priests out there, especially for when they maybe want to go a bit more greedy and say for example that you want more Attack and Less Health cards for example. This card can also be useful for when you want your Northshire Cleric to not die, and the Obvious but classic Divine Shield Inner Power Combo.
I have no idea how the Reborn mechanic is going to be, but I assume that it should stay at 1 Health, and not back to 7 again.
Mech Priest would love to Adopt this card, since they have a lot of Deathrattle minions that technically count as a Summon, such as SN1P-SN4P and Harvest Golem, and they want to go for more of a Divine Shield Inner Fire Style deck instead because of this card.
I’m also very Curious if This Card along with Mech Priest, could withstand against Token Druid and it’s terrifying Swarm of Enemies, up against the High-Health Minions and Mech Deathrattles that Priest likes to throw. 4 Stars.
Lolol reborn is a summon too… this is quite annoying
This plus reborn cards looks spicy (assuming it works)
Priest needed Wincon shenanigans and this is most definitely Wincon shenanigans. We’re still missing good earlygame Taunt/Removal so we’ll see how viable his decks are, though.
Although: it’d be awkward to have this minion cause Inner Fire to be HoF’d next year…
Well, if something has punched my hearthstone knowledge to next levels, is Health is more important than attack when those stats vary form one another, and this is surely a card to fear on his own, good thing is on priest.
My name is Star Aligner and I approve of this card.
Get a divine hymn and you could fully heal minions weakened then drop Star Aligner if tried to interrupt it. Play divine spirit on this and then spend 4 Mana to summon whatever you want with 14 health. Big priest just got a new toy. And if this card ever became a detriment priest has several cards that could remove or silence this minion. Even a Zilliax with this is awesome making it a 3/7 taunt lifesteal that starts with rush and divine shield.
Not really as impressed by this card as everyone else. It’s good, but less scary than some other cards we’ve seen. Mostly because it relies so much on holding back cards and drawing this 1 of legendary to make the combo work. Almost every powerful combo from what we’ve seen so far will take multiple cards and 8-10 mana. And without cards like shadow visions/ scream priest just can’t make a “do nothing for 8 turns” game plan work anymore.
Other classes will be able to do just as powerful stuff sooner with less cards so I don’t see this being that strong in the upcoming meta 3/5
Poor Priest.
If High Priest Amet took damage and you are are going to summon a minion, the minion health will become High Priest Amet’s DAMAGE health, not maximum health. Just wanted to point that out.
But this is a four mana so you can late game get 6 mana worth of minions AND drop this
Id mindblast would remain in standard, there could be a viable aggresive priest deck with this, extra arms and mind blast
All I know is I’m making an Angry Chicken Deck
LOL
You sir are boring angry chicken would have an attack boost when damaged. I on the other hand will take a harder challenge I will make a gurubashi chicken deck.
Hunter’s Mark just got a new target…
My Star Aligner priest deck, just got a new friend. This should be fun to play with. Still don’t know how effective the card will be in standard, but I already enjoy messing around with the star aligner priest so this will be a good addition.
Refreshing, interesting and powerful. 4.5/5
It’s a really cool card, however it has a weakness
It can also debuff minios when it’s hp is low.
You sacrifice it before lowering next minions HP …
5 stars !
fantastic enabler for many combos,
even a simple combo with cleric is strong.
Very good minion to resurrect.
Star Aligner, that new 1/1 Taunt generator, literally anything with Divine Spirit (since casting it on Amet is instantly better than casting it on the face minion), Zerek’s Cloning Gallery, any token generator like Sand Drudge…yes. This is not the awful card I was expecting.
im priest only player since beta, blizzard, WHY did they support the most annoying and boring archetype in priest history
Divine Spirit + Inner Fire is Soooo f*cking lamé, i ALWAYS hated this shitty OTK mechanic, it’s not fun and it’s not interactive. You‘re just sitting on dead cards for dousands turn, hoping your minion survives to set up lethal.
EDIT:
But on the other hand it says „summon“ , wich means if you revive a minion with psychopomp for example it will have 7 HP, it also works with Vivid Nightmare or cloning gallery if this is alrdy on the board, you will summon 6 minions from your deck with 1/7.
Star Aligner set up
4 mana doesn’t die, buff everyone of your minions.’s heallth all the way up to 7 is really cool. I’ m thinking Giggling Inventor, Reborn minions, there’s a lot of good stuff you can do.
That’s what I thought as well tho it’s more of a meme direction but it’s way cooler than the divibe spirit inner fire combo which is so boring by now in my opinion.
Well I liked this card much better with the unofficial translation, which would have added much more needed consistency for a Lady in White deck.
With the official translation I guess this has synergy with Reborn, but it’s unexciting.
Mate, this card is so much cooler with the new translation. Off the top of my head, you can go this (stick it, or just have 10 mana) + divine spirit, divine spirit, boar innerfire. Another Lady of White reprint would be boring imo. This just seems overall stronger in every way than it’s fail translation copy as long as you can keep this card healthy or even buff it.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t see that combo being much better than a normal Divine Spirit + Inner Fire deck (which can kill quicker if you stick a high health minion), or even current Miracle Priest (you have to draw most of your deck to assemble the combo while surviving in the process, once you do you basically win). Of course, it’ll be cool if the card enables something new.
What was the unofficial translation? I missed it.
Whenever you summon a minion, set it’s attack equal to it’s health.
I mean ‘its’ health and ‘its’ attack
Lady in White was garbage, and is still garbage.
It wouldn’t be garbage if you could tutor it and play it consistently on T6, or if Priest had a decent minion-heavy deck with most minions having more health than attack (so something like pre-rotation Spiteful Summoner Priest).
Just saying that King Togwaggle was a meme card until Azalina was printed. Or Hadronox before Witching Hour.
If things weren’t the way they were, they would be different.
IOW, Priest can’t tutor it, and Priest doesn’t have a decent minion-heavy deck.
Right. But if we had had the unofficial translation of the card we’re discussing, LiW would have had a chance of not being a garbage card anymore. That’s what I pointed out.
Inner fire mech priest is already okay on ladder. And I can definitely see this finding a spot in that. Maybe the push it needs to be a tier 2 deck.
This + stonetusk boat + 2x divine spirit + inner fire = 10 mana, 28 damage combo
No need to charge with boar!
just play this on turn 5 with 1 mana stealth minion (Worgen Infiltrator)
Next turn you can buff it with extra arms + 2 divine spirit and topsy to OTK.
It would deal 4 damage, not 28. The boar is being played from hand, so it doesn’t benefit from Amet’s ability. Amet is like Khadgar, it benefits minions that were specifically summoned, as opposed to minions that were played from hand.
So if you played this alongside Hench-clan Hogsteed, the initial body would still be 2/1 because it was played from hand, but the Murloc summoned by the deathrattle would be 1/7.
Playing a minion counts as summoning it.
Play Khadgar, then play a minion from your hand, and see if Khadgar summons a copy of it. He won’t.
It’s a messy subject, 1 year ago I would’ve agreed with you; older cards like Knife Juggler and Starving Buzzard mean one thing when they say Summon, while newer cards like Khadgar and Amet (I believe) mean another thing when they mention the same term. It’s definitely confusing and something they need to clean up.
Regardless, I’m moderately certain that Amet’s ability will not trigger for minions you play from your hand.
You are absolutely, embarrassingly incorrect. Khadgar is a horrible example because it has a very unique effect.
Khadgar says specifically “your cards that summon minions…”. It is worded to rule out applying to cards played. The wording here is like Knife Juggler, so it should work the same way–affecting minions summoned by playing cards, deathrattle, battlecry, whatever!
Oof.
@Axiotes: Maybe you’re right, the wording is different, and Amet’s wording is more consistent with Knife Juggler. Fair enough.
@DukeStarswisher: You’re an ass.
No need for this card, you can do this already.
Stormwind Knight+Pw:S+Divine spiritx2+Topsy Turvy = 9 mana, 28 dmg. Also a 5 card combo.
And you can play with 2x Stormwind.
Edit: Updated the card with new translation. The previous one was most likely wrong. Apologizes to everyone, that’s what happens when Blizzard doesn’t send people English card to reveal on top of one in their own language.
Edit 2: Official English version is up. No more confusion. Sorry again for posting the wrong version at first!
