Its the perfect card to dump my 14 murloc cards after i finish the shaman quest and switch to elemental, glad i got it in a pack actually.
This is an excellent card if you’re in desperate need to trim the deck of weaker cards. A great addition for decks that expect to do more of their work in the late-game.
Play this (with gadgetzan auctioneer and jade idol in hand), The shuffle three jade idols into dock, next turn auctioneer and jade idols: purfuct
You’re crazy if you think this card won’t be strong in a tier 1 or 2 deck. Imo the possibilities in zoo are scary. Play this on 6, for the rest of the game you are top decking cards like doomguard, lakarri felhound, and cruel dinomancer. It doesnt matter how many cards you’ve destroyed zoo can easily end a game in 2 or 3 turns from that position.
Will this card strip cards like arcane giant when there cost is reduced, or keep them as the reduction doesn’t happen till the card gets to your hand?
This is one of the only cards I like in this set.
In Wild only though. Astral Ramp Druid. Ramp, Crush all your garbage cards, Crush opponent.
For those of you still wondering whether or not the death rattles will trigger off of Hemet, here is a quote directly from the wiki page for the deathrattle ability:
“As with all death-related effects, Deathrattles only activate when the minion dies while in the battlefield. Discarding a minion from the hand or removing it from the deck will not activate its Deathrattle”
perhaps a corpse version of this card to put some lost cards into your hand
Pretty fun card design. Was playing around with a Shaman deck with 18-20 murlocs for an aggressive start, once you have enough murlocs in hand to complete quest you play this and switch to pure late game elementals (that are all capable of direct face dmg..)
I think that in late game that you want to draw cards with higher rarity , works nice !!
Guys i dont wanna say you are bad players but… How can you think it would activate the deathrattes? It makes no sense. And the guy who thinks is gonna activate the warlock quest… Can stop of laugh. So that guys are really worried of that. Amazing.

I think this card will be great and will be played with lots of cheap cards in your deck.
Imagine completing the hunter quest. Then playing this, removing most of your deck follow it up with carnassa and for the next 3 turns you can instantly fill up your board after a whipe with raptors and a few high value cards.
Same goes for jade druid. Remove your deck, play the jade idol you had in your hand and quickly start making bigger and bigger jades. this however will need some carddraw like nourish or auctioneer.
In Arena (however unlikely it may be to get him) you can make sure that every card you draw is a treat. Sure you lose some removal but your opponent is the one who needs to react to every card you play
Just me, but it seems like a combo card to clear out some/most of the 15 raptors that will flood your deck after playing Queen Carcassa. Otherwise, it you’ll lose steam rather fast if you aren’t close to finishing off your opponent.
first of all the raptors have battlecry: draw a card so you dont run out of steam
secondly if you were to play hemet to remove your quest reward, here is an even better idea. Don’t play the quest at all, 5 mana 8/8 beast is not worth it without the raptors

I feel like this would be good in a reno-lock for wild mode. Allowing for a higher chance to draw into reno and other larger control cards. The problem i see is that a lot of (draw 1-2) cards are less than 3 mana. So your hand will be small but powerful. If you can sustain a good enough draw it could be broken. Which is why i think warlock might be the best class for this. Also the only cards i can think of under 3 mana for reno are as fallows.

Only a few of these are good in the late game and it would be better to just have heavier drops anyways. But in standard because of the lack of synergy with other cards currently in an agressive meta this is terrible.

Battlecry is pretty god damned terrible but getting this from Moonglade Portal is pretty good!

I think this is a 5 Star Card, because it says “destroy them” so deathratte shoud trigger.
I don’t think deathrattle will trigger, but we either need a confirmation from Blizz or test the card ourself.
If not : This is going to be a niche card for some specific deck like holy wrath paladin or some midrange deck
if yes : this card will be bocken as fuck, and will certainly be nerfed (2 runic egg + 2 firy bat + 2kindly grandmother would be 2 draw and 2 random damage and summon 2* 3/2) attached on a 6/6 body

It says “in your deck.” Deathrattle doesn’t activate when it’s in your deck………..
This card is interesting, we will have to see how it is used. Taking low cost cards out of your deck can be good for making sure they don’t clog your draws, but it can severely thin your deck and remove cards such as any Secrets, Hex, MCT, Arcane Intellect, etc. One really good benefit of this card is that it also removes cards like Ambush (the tokens from Beneath the Grounds).
Wanna Holy Wrath Pally? Here ya go. Wanna rid your deck of that pesky Weasel Tunneler? Here ya go. Wanna not draw poop 1 drops on turn 15 top-decking? Here ya go.

I gave this card 5 stars it is busted beleive me i was sent back in time to warn you all….. The new control warlock uses this its overpowered no time to explaing fading back into future…..Beware Hemet Lock….
Not sure what you’re getting at – Destroy is not Discard, this doesn’t help with the Warlock Quest; if you destroy everything that Warlock plays that’s <4 mana… that doesn't leave a huge amount.
I don’t see a a control warlock happening in the next expansion, but the day it comes back I’ll surely be checking this card too.
Well its barely ok in handlock; it kills sunfury, which is really bad. Plus warlock has tap to more than double the chances of getting the desired card. Imo, it’s better in a wild midrange shaman or something. Maybe freeze mage.
For everyone hating on this card, and everyone who loves it, realize you can make 400 dust, just don;t bring others down. This comment section has so much hate from a digital piece of cardboard. There are ~10 million people who play this game for many different reasons, so why should you care if someone likes it or not. You don’t have to care about this card, and you ragging on everyone who likes it is doing nothing.

Looks fun, but the art is absolutely horrible, and does not motivate including this in your deck at all.
Seriously? Art is awesome, Hemet hunting in the jungle, a dino skull on his head, a fauna costume, I love the art! A great tribute to one of the most iconic characters in the WoW (those beast-chain quests… so nostalgic).

This card is actually pretty good in Ramp Druid decks who play with Astral Communion, Yashraj, Deathwing etc. Getting rid of all low cost cards, increases your chance to draw and play your finishers dramaticaly.

True, but Wild is receiving more love, and cards like this will enhance that experience. I expect Wild to become really wild with some of these new cards, while keeping Standard a little less ridiculous. Should be fun.
I will defenetly not craft this card, but if i get it in a booster it will be the perfect replacement for Mysterious Challenger in my Holy wrath paladin !
This card is not the worst card printed, actually it is much better than Ozruk (9mana/no effect – removed by Hex/exec/polymorph etc ; i rate Ozruk : Boogeymonster/20) but Hemet seems to slow to be played competively.

This card is a 6/6 for 6 mana with no direct effect, and if you draw the same turn you play him you will be very unlikely able to play the card you drew, the lack of tempo is real. But i like this card anyway, more card should be printed with this kind of design fitting in no existent deck, with amazing potential but also a chance of being complete trash.
Ummm, Orzuk is a good card, discolock will be played at least a bit.
I already see the future of this card. You put it in a warrior deck with explore un’goro, then you make sure you always have hemet in your hand before you play explore un’goro, after you’ve done that you play hemet and then you concede because you have no cards xD
This also could work with renounce darkness so you can eliminate all those bad cards you get from the random class and if you’re unlucky, you have no more cards in your deck and concede xD
Finally a way to beat those Weasel-Tunneler Resurrect Priests! haha
Maybe this could also fit into a new Kaza-Lock deck, if it survives the Reno removal. Nzoth Paladin maybe?

Problem is it destroys 0-1-2-3 cost spells and weapons too. There are tons of good spells and weapons that cost 3 and less mana!
I am loving this expansion more and more. This card desing is cool. Has a unique and impactull efect. His power is based in inteligent deck building. If it is competitive or not i dont know, but its gona be interesting to build decks foto this card
I think you got the point, intelligence is the key to take advantage of this card.
This could see play in midrange style decks. Curve out your great earlygame and then drop this to make sure you draw high impact cards. Hunter comes to mind as class that suffers from drawing small minions as they typically topdeck by turn 6. Speaking of hunter this could be interesting with the hunter quest. Play lots of 1 drops, finish the quest, then play this before summoning the quest reward. Then you just spam raptors to face with occasional highmane or whatnot.

Hunter quest was my first thought as well … it could be like a Murloc flood but with an stream of 3/2 draw a card Raptors … extremely vulnerable to a subsequent board clear but you’ve got 15 of the little blighters so that’s potentially 21 damage on the board twice over.
… and since the Tundra Rhino doesn’t get blitzed O_o

It’s called “deck thinning” and it makes perfect sense. Not sure if it’s for highly competitive decks, but its use its pretty obvious, mate!
Need to find a way to dump this card into your opponent’s deck. Especially if your opponent is playing an aggro deck :p

Don’t want to draw a crappy card? Helmet has your back. This card does look like it sucks at face value. What are some decent applications to get rid of all your low stuff?
Play a midrange deck, and get rid of all bad topdecks. Play ramp druid, and get rid of unused ramp. Play paladin, and only leave molten giants in the deck.

Looks like a card usefull for a ramp druid. First use the spells to ramp up fast, than destroy all cards you no longer need and only play the big stuff..
And probably other decks could use this, very interesting card.

I don’t get how nobody is seeing the use for this card. It allows you to fill up your deck with low-cost minions to beat the early game, to then play this card and gain a significantly stronger lategame, due to having removed all your mana efficient cards. I mean, how many times have you lost due to drawing a mistress of mixtures into 4 more 1-2 drops on turn 20-25?
While this isn’t exactly too relevant – this card is absolutely godly in arena.
To clarify – The card is great in constructed, I didn’t mean that it was just a good arena card.
You’d also destroy cards like innervate, wrath and living roots.

OK, so let’s assume you use this guy with the new Hunter quest. You load up on 1-drops, full the quest and get a load of more 1-drops, then you drop your opponent to < 8 and he clears your board of raptors. You need an answer NOW. You drop Hemet to draw into King Krush or Leeroy. Gimmick? Sure, but not complete garbage. People were saying Patches was junk before he formally entered the meta as well, and now he's one of the most played cards from the set.
Godlike Arena Card. Gives you the power to stuff your deck with early game (1-2-3 drops) and heavy late game cards (6-7-8-9 drops). Drawing this automatically gives you a good top-deck every single time.

I highly doubt it will trigger deathrattles. This card can help enable combos and do some fun stuff with cards like Holy Wrath.

What if I told you there are people who actually play hearthstone to have fun and don’t give a damn about compensating something with having a high ladder level in constructed? It’s a fun card With a lot of possibilities, that’s what matters. There’s a reason cards are created the way they are created, always fun to see kids thinking they know it better than passionate developers who have been working on game mechanics for their entire life.

EPOCH, Ur the type of guy that would say misterious challanger was bad because you need to run 1 mana secrets in your deck to make it work.
And you know what was one of the strenghts of Secret Pally?? At the moment you played Challanger, all your 1 mana “useless” secrets came into play, for a massive board push that compensates for a “suboptimal” early game, And you removed most of the bad topdecks from your deck at once.
Now look at Hemet: 6 mana 6/6, same cost and stats. No immediate effect on the board. Ridiculous effect throughout the game. 1/2 the odds of beeing played on curve.
So it is a 6 mana card that needs to be played at an even board, and the card do challange it by itself. Perhaps you can play taunts like Tar Creeper and Druid of the Claw + removal and be fine.
If played at a disadvantageous board it is bad, so the card depends on the capability of your deck to keep up with the game. If played off curve it can be even stronger.
Question: Can you be at an even situation past turn 6??
Yes you can. Then the card is playable.
Question 2: Is it powerfull enough?
Probably. It makes all of your next draws much stronger, since you will be playing only 4+ cost cards. And it doesnt affect your hand, so you can still hold an execute or a mulch (rotating) to play later.
Question 3: Does it have any class restrictions??
I would say not. Certainly Hemet fits better in classes like Druid and Warrior, that can use high cost cards to finish the game. But i can see all 9 classes trying out a Hemet deck.
Also you could play Hemet even on an aggro/hybrid deck. I remember that hunters used to play a low curve deck, plus some mid/late game threats to make the deck consistant.
Imagine to play with a 23-25 low cost high tempo cards, Hemet and some late game. If they survive your first aggro push, drop hemet and your next plays gonna be things like Savanna Highmane, Nzoth, Call of the Wild.
So the card is viable, exciting, deck defining, creative, not blatant overpowered, requires deck design around it and its HEMET F@CKING NESINGWARY. How can you trash this card.

I guess this could be a deck thinner in control matchups. Then again, a lot of targeted removal costs less than three. Or maybe this is for combo decks? Rig your deck to have combo pieces that cost more than 3 and sacrifice the rest of your deck to draw it.
