    So what will happen if Dirtyrat and Deathlord hook up?
    A mech, you get a mech if those two hook up. It doesn’t make sense but this is how magic works.
    4/5 will mess up combo deck.

      I dont agree, Deathlord pulls a minion later when you might have a big spell like twisting nether or lightbomb. Hecklebot summons a minion that is going to be able to attack on their next turn, while Deathlord will most of the time be summoned on their turn.
      Deathlord is a very succesful card, and i think Hecklebot will see a lot of play

    One of the best “Priest” cards revealed yet…

    If Priest plays this and it summons a small minion then that’s a successful “trade”.

    If Priest plays this and it summons a large minion, Lazul’s Scheme, Shadow Madness, Divine Spirit + Topsy the summoned target for a potential 1 turn finisher depending on life.

    If Priest plays this and it summons a large minion, Lazul’s Scheme + Cabal works too.

    If this card ends up being good and other control decks play this on their turn then Priest can Shadow Madness, Divine Spirit(x2) + Topsy or Inner Fire = 32 dmg OTK.

    I see Priests wanting to play this in a Lazul’s Scheme Control/OTK Deck and I see Priests wanting this to be played against them in that same deck since the Shadow Madness combo does not get ruined by its own minions getting pulled out like other OTK decks.

      will basically be used in any decks that can easily remove a big threat it pulls out, shamans hex mages poly priest warrior rogue
      only class i cant think of with a easy out to any negative is druid and paly, maybe warlock unless used on turn 10

    Finally a good anit-combo piece + ani-agro with a mech tag! Wish this card came out in Boomsday Project… better late than never.

    Could easily screw over aggro decks, possibly to the point where they’re pushed out of the Meta(?!). Curving into Zilliax with this is just that good. Between this and Witchwood Grizzly, aggro decks are gonna need to consider transform support (silence gets the job done too I s’pose).

    Do crunch the numbers though- Aggro is used to dealing with T3 3/5 tarcreepers; for 3 extra health this comes out a turn later and gives them a free minion to fight back with. It’s a good wall, but not unbeatable.

    It can, obviously, disrupt narrowly built combo decks, but please remember that giving your opponent a free T4 Malygos or 10/10 Mechathun is not particularly a good thing lol. And you have just as much chance of pulling their Loot Hoarder.

      Felt like it’s important to add you don’t have to play this T4- the same way Warrior held onto his Dirty Rats so he could play them with Brawl. You can hold onto this until you can play it together with a removal card, or T9 when you can magnetize Zilliax onto it! But the obvious downside is that by waiting until then, Combo decks might have drawn their nuts.

    As a combo disrupting tool, Hecklebot should be okay. It’s a sort of combination between Dirty Rat and Deathlord that costs more than either of them and really only has two stats over what would be a playable vanilla four drop with taunt.

    This will have a part to play when playing against minion based combos, but I don’t think it’s worth crafting day one as its current rating would perhaps suggest.

    This card is so much better than deathlord.

    You can instant see what the fuck is going on and trade for example or remove/silence it with spells. Deathlord was a like russian roulette, your opponent had the chance to benefit from the minion for example Antonidas, Malygos.

    as a priest player, i love the card

    I think this will be more anti-aggro than anti-combo. Dirty rat was good because your opponent usually holds the combo minions in hand. There’s just too much rng here to make it an effective combo breaker. And even if you do grab a combo piece on turn 4, now what?

    I think this card is a little over hyped. Lets look at it as the strong taunt that it is and nothing more.

    If the goal is to punish players for trying to assemble a combo, you better have something to kill the minion that comes out of the deck.

      Depends on the combo. As a tech card against combo decks in the meta, it’s primarily effective against ones that rely heavily on Battlecry.

    This is a card that always needs to exist in some form in standard. It doesn’t have to be amazing, but there should always be a neutral tech card option for combo disruption. If there’s ever a change to the classic set, a card like deathlord/dirty rat/this should be one of the 1st in line to be added

    Its is a deathlord. Same effect with more power. Since it has a tribe etc. Deathlord was once used as priest for your innerfire divine spirits and velens chosen. Getting a huge boddy on low curve that you can beef up is not bad. Removing minions from your oponents deck is a very desirebale combo killer card. The bonus is that your face is shielded by a 8 health taunt so whatever you pull its not looking all that scary.
    On the other side deathrattle means if you oponent pops it his minion was going to sleep over his turn and letting you deal on your next turn. Just like deathlord you autoinclude it but you must be carefull if you want to play it on curve since it is way much weaker vs aggro. Its the 3 drop mech every mech deck want but it costs you 4 mana :D. It may flop in your face and we shael se this happen a ton, but most of the time its fairly good.
    You can use this in a priest divine spirit forbidden words OTK. it basicly is like mind games, not epic card and usable. And it screws cloning galery. It does not screw other wall priests and it is an addition to the wall priest archetype. So you just got yourself a anti COMBO card that is usable in COMBO.
    I am not shure if in design point of view is this supposed to work againts OTK or for OTK?.
    In aggro we have those overstated cards that summon a low cost minion for your oponent so even againts aggro you may still luck out and summon a 1 cost minion. But in the rare cases thet you pull their 8 cost minion you are dead meat. Chances are slim but it will always be funny to se see people failing.

    Somewhat weaker than dirty rat and deathlord. However it is an anti-combo card with decent stats and curves nicely into zilliax. I can see control and some midrange decks teching this in case of combo oriented meta.

    It’s one “anti-combo” tool.
    It’s effective against decks with few minions like priest ressurection decks.
    But against a Paladin Holy Wrath it’s useless unless you caught Shirvalah. Against Maly decks is also useless unless you catch Malygos…

      You got it wrong this is NOT what you would want to play against Rez priest since this gets the card into the Rez pool faster

          The most dangerous Rez priest isn’t in standard it’s in wild in standard all you really have is wall priest for ressurect. So blocking a Rez priest is not something this card is meant for. This is more of a combo breaker and early game big wall if you get lucky and pull a little card.

    This is way weaker than Dirty Rat, both due to its higher cost as well as its weaker battlecry (for purposes of combo disruption).

    I also fully expect most control decks to run two copies of it, because it’s great against both Aggro and Combo decks. 5/5

      I do not think its weaker than dirty rat. We are going in a meta where your oponent has tons of 1/1 lackey generators. Dirty rat has a much higher chance to pull a lackey rather than a combo piece.
      And if you have played un evolve deck lately. There are a lot more understated minions with effect in our days than when the game started. Mechanical yeti is the best 4 drop mech from the entire mech pool.
      I know paladin hates 4 cost cards but paladin is getting his dragons. Warrior too is getting his dragons and hunter is not particulary exited for a control card. But i guess where some clases get multiple control options with multiple tribes. Some other classes are left playing Wall for 6 months straight. That is like half an year. Maybe its better to remove that class anyway since there are no particulary new styles to play it and put deathknight or demonhunter or necromancer instead. And the people that did not disenchant all their priest cards would get a prestige class that no one would have ever heard of in a year or so.

        Fair point about lackeys. However, even with lackeys, I still think yanking minions from hand is the more powerful effect, since combo decks usually hold their combo minions and play out the rest, so minions that stay in hand are more likely to be combo pieces.

        The other problem with this card is cost. Pulling a dangerous combo piece and not dealing with it immediately can blow up in your face (think Malygos). For several classes, playing Hecklebot + removal will cost 8 or more mana, at which point the combo deck might have already pre-empted you by drawing his minion combo pieces with Jepetto. So, still a lot worse than Dirty Rat as far as I’m concerned.

          yeah the 1 extra mana makes it a bit cluncy but you have a taunt while with the deathlord you kind of lost the big taunt and you have another threat to deal with. And combos exept for th eright minions require you to have the mana too, and are badly stated. Shudderlock is just a 6/6 you can remove it fairly easy for example.
          You can also play this with the deathrattle from the hunter legendary machine. 8 hp taunt is not a joke and it does come with 3 attack so it can clear most of the bad things it can summon. Although it will not clear lich kings and rangnaroses if your oponents just so happens to play a big deck :D. than you have to play this at 8 mana shure but you are guaranteed to find a suitable target for your hexes and polys or whatever evil ways of controling your oponents deck you have. You may even combo this with entomb at 10 mana. Its a bit more fair than deathlord. And shadow mandnes this ella makes for 8 mana so you must forbidden words for 0 topsy turvy and use just one divine spirit in order to OTK in standart. Make it a bit more cheep and you get much more combo enablers.
          I think ti is fairly stated and balanced. You can curve this into a wargear i am preety shure not every deck can deal with a 3/8 taunt with a single minion trade. And In wild you can reduse the cost of this. so it can be delivered on earlyer turns.

    Slightly worse than Dirty Rat. When you pull a minion out off their hand it’s much more consistent that from their deck. It’s more anti-aggro than anti-combo. Anyway, time will tell.

    Much worse than deathlord, the fact that the opponent gets to immediately attack with the minion and the the fact that it pulls from deck rather than hand means it’s bad against control matchups and unreliable as a combo breaker. it’s a ridiculous tech card against aggro but i think that’s it’s only consistent use

    I’m happy that they finally decided to add an anti combo card. One year later but I’ll take it. That being said this is way worse than Rat because of the mana (it will be harder to kill what you summon), the stats (+1/+2 compared to Rat but it costs 2 more?) and especially the fact that it summons it from the deck and not from hand.

    Strictly weaker than Dirty Rat in every aspect, the higher cost will make the summoned minion harder to kill, fewer chance to get the right one… but still appreciated.

    This card laughs at zoo lock I’m just going to say that. Now add in you could magnetize a zilliax to this on curve if you didn’t get screwed over and we have some promise. This cards usefulness all comes down to what deck your going against if your playing a class that has a removal tool for the summoned minion then your better off but that’s a late game combo. This could see play in wall priest due to removals and it has chunky health. Fun bit is this could break a few OTK decks that are dependant on specific minions. Bad bit is those minions tend to have pretty decent stats that could hurt if this is played early without a removal card.

    Seems like a worse Version of Dirty Rat / Deathlord.
    But the Mech tag might be useful for a Mech/Bomb Warrior or Mech Paladin.

      Because Deathlord was played in a meta where summoning an enemy minion was typically a net negative; there were no multi-minion combos you could disrupt by yanking off a key piece.

      Of course this has similarities with Deathlord, but the reason why people will play this will be the same reason people played Dirty Rat- which is to disrupt combo decks (and have a nice taunt body on top)

      Probably because of the Battlecry; the Deathrattle impact makes Deathlord less immediate, even if the effect is the same as Deathlord.

      Yes it is RNG like most Heartstone cards but at least I can play my control deck with a bit of hope against combo, rather than conceding on turn 1. How would you design a card that 1.is skilled based, and 2.gives control decks a chance to fight against OTK? I think that these kinds of cards are needed even though they imply an important amount of RNG.

      What do you think will be a better desing for combo disruption cards? The RNG is needed because other way just 1 copy of this in your deck is almost insta win vs combo. I think most players are not upset with combo decks exsitng but with combo decks beeing imposible to beat with control decks. But combo decks exsitning is good for the game if they are in check, if any control deck, by just runnig 1 card (and playing it with skill) ista wins vs combo, there will be 0 combo decks. In resum, I prefer matches that are decided by RNG that matches that are decided before turn 1. And i prefer combo to exist but to be a small portion off meta

        Nothing left to say. But one more point: i think if this card will be around in a lot of decks, the enemy have to consider keeping the combo card, lets say Mechathun, in the mulligan hand, this will cost him maybe a lot of “tempo” (tempo in Combo deck lol), cause he might miss one slot in hand for early removal? So playwise this may give you an advantage.

          And then there’s the combo cards where enemy pulling them makes it more interesting *stares at Hakkar*. That is not what you want to see show up on a turn 4 especially if your facing rogue who can fill their deck with more crap to reduce chance of blood draw or has Myra to burn there blood and leave free to make a new deck with shufflers.

      Funny enough, it’s those cards that differenciate digital from paper card games.

      Imagine something like that in (traditional) MtG … not possible. Same goes for all discover cards and most of the other rng effects.

      What I’m trying to say: rng cards is what defines Hearthstone and makes it unique.

      Dirty Rat, but with no taunt, and gives the opponent an extra card.
      I call it Sh*tty Rat.

      If there’re any combo decks to break up it could become good, possibly even see tournament play.
