The original telemarketer.Guild Recruiter Card Review
Another card that features the new Recruit mechanic from Kobolds and Catacombs. Tutoring up minions is always powerful no matter how you do it, so the question becomes what you can use with this to make it stand out. As a 5 mana 2/4, you need to be pulling out some serious stats or effects on the board to make up for the low impact of the Recruiter himself. If it didn’t have the “or less” clause, the card would be beyond overpowered, especially in Shaman where everybody’s favourite 4 mana 7/7 resides. That said, it does feature the last two words of its text, so you can potentially pull a 1-drop with it, which is nowhere near as exciting. It can be custom fit to straight up tutor exactly what you want with a lot of creative deckbuilding, but that means running very few minions and giving up the board early for a deck that wants to… play for the board. As it stands, it seems like a solid card in 3 and 4-drop-heavy zoo lists with very little use outside of that, but this card is just waiting for the right target to become the next Barnes. Imagine a 4 mana minion with “Battlecry: You lose the game.” and “Deathrattle: You win the game.” – though a little extreme, this is a type of minion that Recruiter wants to enlist for his guild and one that can have a deck created around it, a la Barnes/Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound Hunter.
Card Review by Chimbarozo
I think this might be viable in Keleseth rogue as a one of considering whatever it grabs will be buffed and if you manage to get two ticks on him before hand, them stats start looking realy good. Worst case senario, it’s just another way to get more creatures out for your Bonemare or Dragon to buff.
shaman! Flamewreathed Faceless! BOOM!!!
Looks like it’s better in warlock zoo. Shaman has less consistency from this card unfortunately.
I disagree I think this card fits well with Shaman overload deck
In an overload deck you’ll stick in a 4 mana 7/7 and a 3 mana 2/8 with taunt sure you won’t get overload but you’ll still get decent states on the board for a 5 mana card with no draw back
yeah exactly u don’t get overloaded, u gain tempo and i personally think Guild Recruiter works best 4 Shaman
It’s similar to barnes and may have a use in evolve shaman. But Dr. 2 is not very shaman compatible so I wouldn’t use recruiter for tempo shaman.
lul i did not say “Tempo Shaman”, i said it’s a good tempo card. This card is good in a big Shaman with high cost minions, 4 mana 7/7’s and removal spells.
Umm, well, it has, umm…
Yeah, got it! it synergizes with the three Princes from Knights of the Forzen Throne! Just make sure you have no 1-drops either and you are good to go!
Does not work the way you think it does. This Summons the Creature to the Battlefield so you do not get any Battlecries off.
5 mana 2/4 summon a 4 mana 7/7 from your deck. RIP in advance
Add 4/7, 7/4, any many more for extra measure.
5 mana 2/4 that summons a 4/3 with charge is also pretty good
I see some synergy with druid without mire keeper because you can practically choose your minion. Hunter has too much earlygame to want to run this. For other classes than that, I dont see it being the best choice for your deck. Maybe some deathrattle decks.
2/5, might be mvp for druids.
Know who has 4 or less atk? Malygos bby. I WANT TO BELIEVE
It is mana cost, not attack. Sorry baby.
it is favoured in agroo decks imo. not so bad.
As much as i want for this to work, 5 mana 3/5 isnt a good aggro card.
So run it in N’zoth deathrattle and it has ‘draw a card’ most of the time.
