Echo Murloc for Shaman! It’s actually quite relevant in the context of Quest Shaman (Unite the Murlocs), but this deck is not going to work. It wasn’t great before the rotation, and remember thatĀ Call in the Finishers, the easiest way to finish the Quest, is rotating out. Quest Shaman is also an Aggro deck, and this seems a bit slow in an Aggro deck. While yes, you can play it three times on Turn 6 or something, it’s a low tempo card, even given the Murloc tag and the potential synergies.
Another synergy isĀ Hagatha the Witch – in the late game, you can play it 5 times and get 5 random Shaman spells + 5x 2/2 on the board. That’s actually great, but the card sucks before you get Hagatha out. And anyway, after you play Hagatha, you won’t have any value problems, to be honest. You will think how to empty your hand and now how to draw 5 random Shaman spells most of the time. The problem with this deck will be getting to that point, not gaining even more value when you’re already outvaluing your opponent.
In the end, it’s a pretty average card. It’s a solid Echo card, but that’s just about it.

Well realistically the quest just requires too many murlocs to be played for it to be worth. 8 Murlocs is a massive amount considering you will only typically have around max 10 cards from your deck by turn 5.
This card is good tho, suddenly no amount of board clear is enuf against shaman and bloodlust will be a serious threat. Obviously gets hard countered by cubelock but should do pretty well against Control Warrior/Mage/Priest.
Anyways, this card offers some consideration for all control, aggro and quest shamans due to existing synergies, exactly what youd hope from a card. 4/5
I actually really like this card. It synergizes with Hagatha, and should you not draw it before you play her it gives you a reason to play ice fishing. Doubt I’d run two though.

Only really useful for Quest Shaman / Murloc Shaman.

Since it is a murloc, the first place to think of placing this card is in Quest Shaman. However, the issue with Quest Shaman has tended to be the weak reward inspite of how easy the quest is to complete and it does eat up your turn 1. Adding a bunch of random murlocs will usually end up giving you a fair amount of the bad ones. This won’t really make the quest any better.
The next place this could end up is Token Shaman, but without Evolve, Dooplegangster, and better aggro tools such a deck is unlikely to be possible, and this wouldn’t do much for the deck as it is when Primalfin Totem is around.
It is nice to have a cheap echo minion around, but I don’t see this being good enough to see play in The Witchwood Format.
Dear Blizzard- why must we always pay the Murloc Tax in every expansion? Why does it have to take up a slot in our new cards that could’ve been something useful or cool every time?

Definitely not the best Murloc around, and I don’t think you’d play this in a Murloc deck. But in Control Shaman with Hagatha, this is a 5 spell generator in Turn 10. So it does have its uses. I just don’t think it’s powerful enough. 2/5 stars.
Maybe aggro music shaman will be back.
I like that this card exists, but this is clearly not the card to be interested in right now, with your Shudderwocks and Hagathas being around. Also, I think I would have liked it more as a 1/3 instead.
Even with this, I don’t think Quest Shaman is playable.
