As someone who has been trying to get Quest Highlander Mage to work in Standard for a while now (hint: it doesn’t work), i can say this card is nice.
It can trade evenly or better with most minions early game (although it doesn’t have taunt). plus it gives nice cheap spells for Archmage/Yogg fodder
Overall a nice card, maybe quest Mage will use it

Very misunderstood card. High potential. Even if it has only 2 atk, you don’t need it as mage. -1 atk in comparison to a 3-6 minion that is considered tier 1 stats for 4 mana.The spell generation is esential and can delay the game so you can get to your win condition or generate fireballs with Anton.

After the release of the expansion my analyst was point on. This card is awesome in all mage decks that use some sort of combo or be aggresive providing protection for key minions. And it’s sure hard to kill.
In arena it’s even better because tbe tempo it generates.
I think it’s the most used mage card of the expansion statwise.

I am wondering if the mage is going to get some alchemist stat flipping card or something that only benefits minions with 0 attack, it seems sort of like something blizzard would do.
that awkward moment when bolster seems to have more synergy with mage then warrior

I’d argue that the effect is alright, I’d even forgive for the horrible statline (2 attack on turn 4 won’t cut it on this card), what I really think is the downfall of this is that it comes too late. Like way too late for the effect to be really useful. As it currently is, it’s just some Antonidas fuel, whereas I feel as a 3-drop or even a 2-drop it would grant you a meaningful card, and could work in a more agresssive mage deck with mana wyrm.
Stat distribution is pretty bad on this card and the images arent tvery useful wont see a slot in mage decks as we know them right now
3/10 some synergy in quest mage but there’s already better cards for that not even good in arena.

I hope they print more cards like Gazlowe. Otherwise, this synergises mostly with Antonidas. Not too exciting, but ok.

Yeah. Certainly a buff, but is it enough? Probably not.
only if it adds the spell “mirror image” to your hand and not just one 0-2 taunt minion.

It is understood that the card given is the Spell, not the 0/2 minion.
its 1st case it adds spell – mirror image, thus helps to complete the quest and struggle against aggro(as summoned images are taunts).
