If only it benefitted from fire spells instead… then it’d’ve made a decent Wildfire tutor…
If this always makes two 1/1’s, it’s very strong(People talking about hero powering the 1/1’s forget that the 1/1’s freeze so that’s only relevant for mage).Unfortunately you’re sacrificing a lot of amazing mage spells to play this at its 100% effectiveness. So the question will be if there’s a mage deck that can afford to only play frost spells, or primarily frost spells.
this card is severally underrated! so first it’s a 3 mana 4/5 body with freeze effect. that’s great stats and it can’t be dealt efficiently with a single card (except combustion). Secondly it draw you card.
so a 3 mana 4/5 that draw you card is definitely bonker!!
But actually the question isn’t is that card good, because anyone with a minimum of clarity know it is. No, the question is will the minion mage deck return?
So basically that card is nuts and it’s a 5 stars, however might not see play if minion doesn’t receive other good cards.
While it’s nice that mage is getting another minion, I don’t see it being very effective. The only good time to play this would be in 3 scenarios:
1) Your opponent is not Druid, Mage, Rogue or DH. These classes can just use the hero power to get rid of each 1/1.
2) Your opponent has not minions before you play this card so the 1/1’s can’t be eliminated.
3) You have used up all non-frost spells and still have some left in your deck.
Decent with Broomstick, but unlikely to be enough on its own to convince Mage to start playing minions again. Saying that, there’s a solid chance that unrevealed cards may yet change this.
