This card does NOT remove them wherever they are. Just played a quest priest and he was able to rez the Sandhoof Waterbearer after I shived him. If it really did remove them ‘wherever they are’ he shouldn’t have been able to resurrect it.
This is just pure good removal, like vilespine slayer, the extra bonus doesn’t really matter to me, I’m a pure tempo guy. 9.9/10
How is this only 4.6/5? Vilespine was one of the strongest minions in the game, and this is it except for 1 mana more you don’t need to combo it. And you get to kill all the other copies too. The +1 attack is just the cherry on top. Sure, it might screw you over, but very very rarely.
So if I target a opponent minion that I might have, my minion is also gone?
Ha, but what are the chances that my priest opponent will play thought steal and steal my Edwin vancleef and play it for 12/12 while mine is still in my deck and Flik is my only removal in my hand
wish this was neutral with worst stats, serves as a good tech card against some strategies
especially in wild can kill shudderwock shaman
This is one of those “good in any deck” cards.
I wonder if it will destroy flobbidinous floop or valeera’s shadow in hand. Probably won’t, or more likely shouldn’t, but who knows. Definitely interesting card.
Neat, a good mix of tech and just being good
Wait does it trigger deathrattles? if so i can start thinkink of some combos with it.
It does.
Like deathrattles in deck. That would be stupid. Because you just shuffle 20 Lepra gnomes into your deck. Kill one and deal 40 damage.
No, it won’t trigger deathrattles from deck (tested). Maybe if you have all in hand..
A 6/4/4 that casts Assassinate is good enough as-is. Gives me Vilespline vibes.
The additional effect is obviously meta-dependent, but can be a gamewinner if the right decks are floating around. There’s too many possibilities to name, but Tomb Warden, Oasis Surger, Unleash the Beast (recast en masse by Zul’jin), Mass Revive, Waxadred, and Greasefire Elemental (from Chef Nomi) all come to mind.
infact, waxadred will sufffle a candle (not him self) so u cant destroy him while he’s in the deck as candles.
this completely shutdown those annoying shudderwok combos, you play this on one shudder and you wait for your opponent to concede. also does this kill all the jade golems on the board when played?
I don’t understand how no one has mentioned this: this shuts down holy wrath paladin and infinite Armour druid. This card stops them dead.
Yeah shuts down holy wrath paladin but infinite druid won’t have kun anymore so don’t know how that will work out in the new meta
Ahh forgot that rotates out, thank god. If shaman got nerfed that druid deck would’ve taken over. Ty for correction.
Ok so useless against Highlander destroys mill rogue and can be used to shut down opponents tech cards by tagging your own. Overall this is more anti rogue than anything. And even then it’s anti scheme. Possibly useable in a Highlander rogue to counter another Highlander.
You think a 4/4 destroy a minion is bad against highlander? 4 mana removels are awesome and 2 additional mana for a 4/4 body is quiet solid. This copy effect is even a strong bonus but this card is 5/5 without it as well
When I mentioned against Highlander it was for erasing the wish minion from your opponents deck before they can play it. That’s the main thing can rely on all Highlanders running. However there are a few minions can rely on most decks running.
Yaeh I know. But useless seemd to hard for a 5star card anyway U played 3/4 combo destroy for 5 mana which was awesome. This is better
I wish the text would read:
“Battlecry: Destroy a minion. Combo: Also destroy all copies of it (wherever they are).”
It’s the pogo hopper counter!!!
A 6 Mana 4/4 that Not only doesn’t like 2 copies of a Card, but I’m assuming also copies of Desert Hare making 2 copies of itself, or when Mech dies and it makes Microbots for example. And if that’s the case, then Flik Skyshiv is ALSO an Anti Togwaggle card. Because in my eyes, I could have just easily just take Galakrond, then using Kronx for the Devastation, and then making copies of Kronx with Togwaggle’s Scheme, and I’ll just have nothing but Dragonhooves for the rest of the game.
Now Rouges have to be more careful when they are facing up against themselves. This is also a Warning shot against Khagar Mage, which has been one of the biggest problems have to deal with, thanks to Mountain Giant into Conjuror’s Calling to make either copy of itself, or 2 Grave Horrors, and even more terrifying when it comes to also add in Khagar. Now I’m curious to see what will happen with spells that make copies of Minions, Especially with Twinspells such as Unleash the Beast, or THe FOrest’s Aid. The Minions will die, but what about the Spells themselves? Overall this is a really cool card for Rouge to use, And she will use Filk Skyshiv to it’s potential, even if they are just using it like a Vilespine Slayer. 5 Stars.
Hmm, this is an amazing card. Destroying a minion for 5 stat loss? great. And also has a good chance to destroy another one? awesome. But probably the best part: it can remove cards from your opponents hand and deck!?!? Only warlock was able to do that, with a very tedious combo…
Really the only weakness it has is rogue mirror matches, but even then it’ll completely destroy shuffle.
Great card, 5/5
What an amazing desing! Absolutely love this, it’s so simple but effective. Perfect example of a card that’s alright in most situations but incredibly powerful in some. 5/5 desing, it probably won’t be more than 3.5/5 from its power though.
*cries in Sathrovarr*
Cool card but not OP. it’s Similar to vilespine slayer.
*Possibly Better*
Regardless of its playability (which I do think is high) this is a really excellent exploration of design space, and I really like it.
I was wondering about playing paladin or rouge at the start of the new expansion. Now I know the answer.
5/5
Can you target your own minions? And do your copies get targeted as well?
Sorry stupid question…
In your defense, I think Blizzard often words these flashy cards purposefully ambiguous to get people like us talking about them. The affect is unusual, and therefore not immediately clear to everyone. No need to feel bad!
Yes, and yes
A rouge card, made to hurt rouge xD
But, does it count graveyard? Or unsummoned minions, because then it can be scary.
Not only would it be able to delete all jades, but any summon-able minion and for example mess with resurrection priests. I guess not, but if it would, then I can be evil.
No, I don’t think it will work on cards that have the potential to exist, such as Jade Golem or Devilsaur from Bated Arrow.
I think it’s meant to work on all copies in play, in players hands, and in players decks. So if you killed one Jade Golem, it would kill all the other copies in play, and potentially any others that were returned to hand/shuffled into a deck.
And since the “graveyard” doesn’t work the same way as in MTG, it won’t remove a dead minion from the resurrect pool for a card like Mass Resurrection.
Yeah sounds reasonable, and it is most definitely true.
But think they should just write (In the field, hand and deck) or (In all fields, hands and decks) instead of (wherever they are). However deepening on how the game evolves then wherever can of course change and improve the card more.
Still wonder if it will delete the copy in both players hands and decks or if they only mean for the player that it affects.
Yeah, that would make more sense for clarification.
And I think this means that if you destroy a minion, it will destroy all copies for all players. So something universal like Zilliax will be an interesting target.
Yes and that makes me wonder if it can trigger deathrattles from minions in hand and deck? Since it says destroy and not remove och discard.
Then you can do mass copies of HAKKAR for example and then blow them all at once.
You can still buff your C’Thun when it’s dead, so I’m thinking it will work on dead minions.
Potentially. One problem I see is “destroying” an already dead minion. It doesn’t really make sense.
And since there isn’t a space for dead minions (like a graveyard), it feels weird to remove minions from that nonexistent space.
Rogue gets to counter mill rogue themselves, LUL, also doesn’t this serve as a minor lackey counter?
Nope, there are way to many different lackeys…
Hmm, ya you right
