Buff hand paly allows this card to trigger on itself. I could see this working pretty well.

Strong sinergy whit Power overhelming 😀 . Priest and druid can easilly sotisfy the condition, and priest need to draw in a reliable way. I like it, Gremy goons can have a nice chose in this if they hit play for real.

I could see it working in the new dragon priest for some card draw. Goes nicely with Book Wyrm and Drakonid Operative. Also can use Power word shield and the new +3 health guy to boost something to the 6 health needed for this effect.

It’s decent, but I hate how it not only has a pretty irritating requirement, but is also 6 mana instead of 5. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cool card, especially for control decks; but I think it would be so much better if it was either 5 mana, or the minion mentioned in its battlecry had to have 5 health instead of 6

Seems pretty good. 6 mana 4/4, same stats as Ivory knight, but instead of discovering a spell, you draw 2 cards. This is pretty huge for decks that only have big minions such as astral druid and many forms of control warrior. All in all, this will (in my opinion) will see play in some, if not many, control decks.

    Random thought about this card….

If this card gets buffed in hand to a 6/6, will it trigger its own battlecry? or does battlecry trigger as it is being played?

      It will trigger

Most battlecries trigger slightly before minion enters battlefield.

@Hunter: Lol what? Give me an example for that please…
Look at for example Twilight Drake: the card itself is not counted when it gets extra health, therefore it is not in your hand when your battlecry triggers, so it’s on the battlefield. Simirarly, this card will already be on the board when the battlecry triggers, so it counts itself if it’s buffed.

He’s right, (hunter I mean) twilight Drake when played for a second exists in a state between out of your hand and the battlefield, that’s when the battle cry triggers, an example for hunter’s case is the cabal knife juggler experiment, when cabal shadow priest steals a knife juggler you will get a juggle because you steal juggler first, then the cabal shadow priest hits the board which activates knife juggler

            Thanks for explaining 🙂

No, the order is: minion is summoned, battlecry is triggered, “after” effects are checked. So cabal hits the board, steals juggler, then the game checks for after minion is summoned effects and triggers the juggle. If you play a minion with a battlecry that can kill sylvanas (the new bomb squad, fire elemental, etc.), sylvanas can steal the summoned minion. If battlecries were before the summon, sylvanas’ deathrattle could not choose the minion being summoned.

No that is not right. Blizzard has confirmed that minions enter the battlefield first before triggering their battle cry, Yogg is the best example if the minion would enter the battle field AFTER the balltecry then yogg couldn’t be effected by his own battlecry but he gets affected by his battlecry’s spells. Same with Leeroy getting killed by knifejuggler. I know there are alot of confusing things that make it seem the other way around like secret trial killing onyxia but like I said blizzard officially confirmed it being minion then battlecry not battlecry then minion. DIsguised toast has proof videos of this, like a twilight drake getting killed by a explosive sheep’s deathrattle (it gets killed by the juggle from a knife juggler triggering from twilightdrake entering the battlefield) before it gets the bonuslife from it’s battlecry.

This is a well designed card. Compare to Ancient of lore (pre nerf)…
    – Lore was 7 for 5/5, this is 6 for 4/4… so similar lower stats:cost ratio.
    – Lore was nerfed for guaranteeing the 2 cards, the promoter has a condition built in, avoiding needing to be nerfed (higher risk, higher reward)

Problem is that this card is hard to play on curve, as few 5 drops have 6 health (unless you combine it with the in hand buffs).

All in all, good design. It will see constructed play.

Draw 2 on a minion. The condition is relatively easy to satisfy, and the effect is great.

And it promotes non aggro playstyles.
