2/4 in stats for 2 Mana with Lifesteal?
Even Non-Token Druids will see the value in that, and you can always make them stronger with other Druid cards.
Not exciting, but certainly effective.
Firefly with lifesteal. Same stat line and mana cost, only difference is you can’t play this on turn one, and you must play this on turn two as a package deal. This will be an auto-include in this new aggro Druid archetype Bliz is pushing. 5/5
its like having both fireplyes in one card while transformed as jaina. Those are the stats of a totem golem – 1 dmg. that gained lifesteal. Wild token druid gets even more threats now. and thos ecrypt lords are super hard to remove now. Imagine what they would do with even more 1 cards 2 minion generation cards. Healing gets better and you should not forget that we are talking about a class those hero power is amons the good ones. So tons of synergy there. This is fairly powerfull 2 drop.
Fire fly had a bunch of good things going for it. You could play it on turn 1, it’s neutral so anyone could play it, it synergized with class-specific mechanics like Hagatha’s hero power and Rogue’s combo mechanic, it was great for turning on elemental synergies (yes, past tense. Year of the Raven is done for me). None of that is true for Dreamway Guardians.
Heal Paladin struggled a lot with not being able to heal anything early on because nothing was damaged, and I expect that’ll be a problem for this card trying to activate healing synergies as well. So-so in the early game and bad later on means I think this is just bad for heal Druid.
Token Druid is another matter though. If token Druid is a thing, and it very well might, then this should be a staple in that deck. 4/5
I think that there won’t be a “heal druid”, but instead a token/heal or aggro/heal deck. One thing that heal in druid has going for it is that you can damage yourself for 2 mana.
I’m loving the theme of restoration druid translated into HS, and it seems semi viable too. This expansion is shaping up to be a nice fresh start for the game
Solid 4/5. Low likelihood of being broken – can’t imagine Token Druid post-rotation being worse than Odd Paladin now – but solid value and an obvious include for at least one archetype, maybe two if somehow Healing Druid becomes a thing.
nice maths
2 Fire Flys but with Lifesteal. Pretty good.
All the fun of playing Firefly T2, but with lifesteal to top you off from Hero Powering against enemies and whatnot. Plays nice with Lifeweaver and Crystalsong Portal and Crystal Stag and Tokens alike. Usable by faster decks for token synergy and slower decks to punish opponents spamming 1/1s.
They really needed to build Druid from square 1 this expansion and I’m glad they’re giving him so many fresh cards that actually work with each other!
Nice! Druid gets some Lifesteal. Plus, token Druid is getting lots of love this set.
Seems like Druid won’t get benched this expansion either.
Seems aight
The lifesteal is meant to combo with Lifeweaver on turn 3. If druid can manage to take 2 damage in the first two turns, the reward is two free spells.
Two mana for 2/4 worth of stats is alright for an aggressive, token druid deck, but the Lifesteal aspect of Breamway Guardians won’t really come into to play when used on curve.
Unless Token Druid isn’t an aggressive deck, the Lifesteal won’t even really matter anyway. There can be some room for a value generation combo with Lifeweaver, but, again, if Token Druid is aggressive, it’ll never come up.
Unless you also play crystallizer and happen to curve perfectly on first 3 turns.
It also provides good targets for buffing if you’ve had bad Mulligan and your facing another aggro deck. The theme for druid this expansion seems to be token, heal, and spell and it looks as if crystalizer will be an auto include for all token druids. I’m guessing we may see other cards that allow you to hurt yourself during this year.
Man token druid is getting alot of power when put this expansion with witchwood. And since druid seems to be moving away from armor some now it heals with lifesteal tokens.
It’s an upgrade from playing 2 firefly’s for 2 Mana.
