So, How good do we feel about basically putting having a “10 Mana, Pretty Much just make 2 8/8s, and maybe you also finish the final piece of Quest Mage?” I would say it’s not bad, but man is it expensive. Now they did make it tradable which is nice, so you have a greater chance to play your 10 mana card for later. I think the main issue is that peoples want to use the 2 8/8s, but the problem is that they are just used as 2 soft taunts that the opponent has to react to or otherwise they take 16 damage; which in itself is still good, but now you’re facing the value of who spent more mana, The Mage or the Opponent?
Maybe you spent 18 mana in value, but to take down those 2 drakes, it might have only cost them as 5 Mana (Brawl) or maybe even let’s say 8 (2 Generic “Destroy an enemy minion” Cards). So yeah, it doesn’t picture Drakefire Amulet too well, sadly speaking.

To me, I do see the Potential of Drakefire Amulet, but so far, we’ll have to wait for the 50-50 Idea. It’s either going to be a 1-star too expensive Mage Card, or a 4 or even a 5-star card, because it turns to that not only can mage fight back, but can even wait for the late game.
This is a card that we need to experiment with for like one or even a few matches before we can our minds and then the meta changes our minds for us. I like the Flavour of the card, but I have to think of it as Tug of War: Can my 18 Mana Value outweigh your Mana Value?

    3 Stars.

Almost no good dragons with end of turn effect, remember DQ Alex? For 8 mana you had 2 0 mana dragons with a good battlecry or effect… You need to cheat out this card somehow to be goood

You would think everytime you play this will always discover 9+ dragons? Nope.
10 mana really not worth 2 dragons on board.

The only effective dragon in Standard with immediate play is Runaway Blackwing, or Brasswing.
    Probably miss a few other.

Or wait, this only discover dragon from Mage & Neutral only? Then it’s even worse.

Lot’s of tiny dragons right now so that stupid objective/end of turn effect means you get the icky dragons, 17 dragons so far and 5 of them are statted as 5ish or less. Coldarra Drake is about middle of pack for stats/effect since most 4/12s are good for the battlecry that they get robbed of. 9/17 have five or less attack, although 2 can get/have taunt.

Wow, to do all the analysis.
But they add 2 more good dragons for Mage and Neutral. So, that must count to something.
And next rotation is near, they probably add more dragons. Although the chances of them adding weak dragon is also there.

So. yeah. Will you waste 10 mana to gamble 2 dragons? I’m not.
