Sooooooo, this is Val’anyr for dragons, am I right? I think it will obviously be played by a Dragon midrange paladin, which seems might be a Heald deck or a Highlander one. Not sure about it, yet. I think that only time will tell how good is this card, but I do want to say that it seems good, while not being amazing. The effect is random: the buff going on a crowd roaster or something like that would stop the chain. BUT, the same could have been said for Val’anyr before, and I would argue that this is much better than Val’anyr: 1. Val’anyr was a shitty tempo play, that you could make only versus control decks and being almost completely useless against aggro 2. When the buffed minion died, Val’anyr returned as a weapon, delaying for two whole turns the effect, while this doesn’t. So all in all, we might have to wait for the new expansion to come out.
P.S. I played quest reborn paladin in Wild with Val’anyr and it is the most insane thing in the whole freaking world. The buff stacks super quickly thanks to the fact that you can stack multiple on one minion and then copying that minion with your hp. I think that Quest paladin in standard might want to run some dragons only becuase of that insane combo. Also, paladin dragons are really good, so it wouldn’t be that much of a drawback.

Really solid but unlike Valanyr you can’t trigger it so you have a minion in hand so it has infinite value. However since dragon Paladin seems like it will really take off I think this card is solid, especially due to bronze herald. Overall like most cards this expansion it’s decent enough for a pretty good deck. 7/10

Valanyr but for Dragons, and it’s a 3/3 instead of a 4/2 weapon. I don’t see this working in a Making Mummies deck, unless they print Reborn minions with the dragon tag; there’s just not enough space to fit enough dragons to make the synergy cards worthwhile while having enough Reborn minions to complete the quest in a reasonable amount of time. This seems like an auto-include in Dragon Paladin, so it succeeds or fails based on the strength of that archetype.

The thing about this in making mummies though is it can make really high power dragons. And you don’t need to many dragons to break this add in the one that adds 2 4/4 dragons to the hand mummies can make add 4. The current making mummies deck favors the mech package but once we hit rotation this would take it’s place for generating value from cloning. Sure the resources for dragon takes a hit but it’s still viable. Most making mummies decks I see only have 8-10 reborn cards at most the rest is support or cards that can abuse the new hero power. Which unless face a priest this card can abuse the power you only need 1 dragon in the hand at a time.

    How about Undertaker+bronze herald+immortal prelate+dragon rider Talritha+quest?
That could maybe work, and IS infinite value…

Hey, am I wrong or is that infinite value?

It’s not. It’s just called Infinite value if it creates cards.

So, to properly look at this, it’s just going to give your Dragon in your hand a +6/+6 Buff in the long run. And for someone like a 3 Mana 3/3, comparing a 5 Mana 3/5 Dragon Speaker, that’s actually really nice. Now hopefully we actually get to see Dragon Paladin using both Dragon Speakers and Dragonrider Talitha. It’s basically a Mini Dragon Speaker, but just more flexible, but I’m going or the benefit of the doubt and just that players didn’t use Dragon Speaker, because they no purpose for Dragon Paladin until now. 4 Stars.

It’s actually a scary card if you have the quest hero power that’s the only way to get +6/6 since this is a legendary. Combine with the quest hero power you could easily drop a +12/12 dragon. The only REAL threat to this cards combo is priest and shaman. All the others basically need 2 or more cards to counter it.

Oh yeah, that’s right! You can get Reborn! I completely forgot about that! What an Evil Genius idea!

There is lots of support to make this work. If Paladin gets even one decent card draw card in this expansion this card will be pretty nuts. It’s pretty good even now considering that there will probably be more good paladin/neutral dragons and the main problem for dragon paladin was the lack of dragons. 3.5/5 unless we get something great to add to value of this card.

Wow quest dragon pally would use this can also use this as a clone target.

A quest pally might have trouble using this because it would have to run both dragons and reborn minions, and currently the two don’t overlap. Unlike Valanyr, this only hits dragons so it would become obsolete as soon as you run out of dragons to play.

I’ve seen a couple mix them together the thing to remember is pally has the one dragon that adds 2 more to the hand which is also a deathrattle and can be boosted from quest. Point is that it’s a possible value option that can stack up rather quickly as long as keep having even a single dragon in your hand. The current reborn has a mech variety but that is only going to last until rotation. Once the deathrattle mechs rotate out dragon reborn will most likely make it’s big usage. A highlight of the mech option that holds it in use is kangors endless army for a recovery. You also lose the shirvallah otk deck. The biggest hit to reborn pally is from boomsday rotation to though and that’s crystology which can pull 2/5 cards for the quest. Dragon will take a lot of hits from lost neutrals mainly. But the aspect of this that can carry on is the fact that this card snowballs hard if you have even a single dragon in your hand. The only class that could stop the snowball is priest anything else would require 2 silences to stop it.

Could probably make a pretty decent deck with it currently and it may get better after see more cards but a key feature watching for is the possibility of deck framework after we get to next year’s rotation. Way I see it at the moment reborn pally will probably make use of this when it loses that nice mech package especially since the deathrattle should stack. If you only had 1 dragon in hand each time you did this the first would have +6/6 stats on the main then next could drop one with +12/12. That’s a rather scary build up and since you would always get a 2/2 version of it with the quest HP. The only thing to plan for is early to mid game and mostly that’s covered by playing the reborns.

I mean if there’s dragon pali there probably this. If not, vice versa.

This is actually pretty good- any Dragon can become a threat that creates another threat. DragonPally is looking like a thing.

Loving this card. Paladin may not have a lot of support for dragons (too much) but it’s there. I can see this in a Dragon Paladin deck. 4 out of 5 stars. A good card no matter what.

Could see play in Secret Dragon Paladin deck.

Cool card but you will need tons of dragons to keep the buff going. Could it be abused by the quest? Maybe. Finding the right shell for this is going to be difficult but at least there’s hope for this card.

Val’anyr saw play so i reckon this will as well. Paladin has cards like Bronze herald and an Explorer incoming that can keep dragons in your hand. If Paladin gets a Tomb Warden style card that summons a copy of itself then it could be busted with the likes of Dragonspeaker and stuff. 4/5 will see play if Dragon paladin becomes a thing (which it probably will thanks to rise of shadows).

If you could combine with quest paladin these buffs could perma chain to some scary dragons minions, but that is a very big IF. Thank goodness warrior didn’t get this for their dragons. Warriors don’t need a 24/24 Deathwing which is entirely possible if they can get an Emeriss in hand, and bigger if they double dragons in hand Dr B nonsense was bad enough.
