Kinda irritates me that this is basically priest version of nourish or cabalist tome, and yet thistle tea is friggin 6 mana….

Thistle tea is just bad. Sprint would compare better. TBH gadgetzan auctioneer is rouges tomb.

I don’t like design of this card, priest needs better removal like entomb, but he gets trash. For value it’s the same as cabalist’s tome, nothing original, going to see lot’s of plays in arena.

You get tired of mage generating random cards in arena? – Let’s fix this! Priest gonna do this shit now too!

I actually quite like this card. It’s a stronger version of Thoughtsteal so if people like that effect they can have another card with it making it easier for them to play Reno/Kazackus while more reliably getting Priest copy cards. It also will be able to act as an alternative for Thoughtsteal for this copy deck I was hoping to include Prince Taldaram in.

If nothing else, I really dig the art on this card. It brings back fond memories of the Vengeful Gladiator Priest set from my WoW days.

in-before DH Priest: lower the cost of all not priest cards by (2), Hero power: copy a card from your opponent deck

With Battlecry: Fill your hand with copies of cards from your opponent’s deck.

Decent synergy with medivh, would probably only run this in a highlander priest, waiting for the DK anduin spell power, might be worth urging together a Raza priest.

This card is 3 cards for 1, and they don’t come out of your deck, so they don’t count toward fatigue. That’s great value!

But Priest doesn’t struggle to find value. Priest struggles with having too many situational cards and being too slow/reactive to keep up on the board. So this card is good in matchups that are already easy for Priest, and bad in matchups that are hard for Priest.

3/10, I probably wouldn’t run this in any of my Priest decks.

Probably shouldn’t let the pretty Night Elf Priestess get that close.

Anyway it’s too expensive to realistically see play, especially for 2 more mana where you can have your opponent’s entire deck and a 4/6.

idk why do you even comparing this card to legendary. Legendary shuffling the whole deck into your DECK, not hand.So you need consider that you will topdeck a lot of unusable (for priest) shit in future instead of good cards. It could be good in value battles, when you have full hand and just outlasting opponent, but in most cases it just ruin the game for you. This card is much better for usual matchup, as you’ll take all 3 cards to your hand and can play immediately.

I’m comparing it to Benedictus because it’s the same effect, just more grandscale.

Mind Vision and Thoughtsteal see no play because their effect is just flat out too random. It’s draw a card but infinitely worse.

Why would you play ‘steal’ cards like this when you can just draw a card? Or discover a copy of a card you have? Both are much more reliable ways instead of drawing your opponent’s trash cards.

This card is bad for value battles, as you spend 5 mana to pray you get something to play, probably get nothing, and then concede because you wasted 5 mana.

First of all, thoughtsteal was playable card for a long time. Stolen cards were good enough in average result.
Second, you comparing some kind of draw mechanics with deck extending mechanics. The only similar thing is the same source of cards – opponents deck, but everything other is differ.
Third, 5 mana for 3 cards could be good enough in control matchup. Just compare it to cabalist tome, which “draw” 3 random spells. For sure, mage spells are quite good at most, so outcome will be better, than for devour, but card is still reliable in some cases.

Priest steals more than Rogue, thats ironic.

Can’t wait to see this coordinated friend challenge on Youtube:
      Priest plays Rogue
      Priest copies Rogue deck
      Rogue steals Archbishop
They spend the rest of the game bouncing and re-playing their own and each other’s Archbishops until the server crashes…

        August 1, 2017 at 9:55 PM

Deck size has a maximum of 60, so no. That would only repeat once or twice before it stopped being ridiculous.

    August 1, 2017 at 10:33 AM

But WAIT! this card has synergy with the almighty Archbishop!

Step 1: You play my boi Archy and steal your opponents famery

but THEN, you start drawing some hot crap like shield slam and evolve, but when all hope seems lost you top dick “Devour MIND”

And BAM, you instantly steal all the other Exodia combo peaces right to your hand

You pass you opponent in Jade counters

You shield slam for 10 dmg

    You evolve your Dopple gangers

and then TRIPLE fire ball Janna in the face

    GG

Waiting for DK Anduin: Put a copy of your opponent’s deck three times in yours. Hero power: Lose.

      The Battlecry is:
For the rest of the game your summoned minions have Deathrattle: Summon a random minion from your opponent’s deck.
      Your Hero power is:
Discover a spell from your opponent’s deck and cast it with random targets.

    Priest version of nourish

You might as well just play your opponents deck at this point

    • Yeah
      August 1, 2017 at 10:26 AM

Might as well steal his whole deck.
      Oh wait…

They really cant come up with more interesting cards, than a worse version of thoughtsteal?

    • Harry
      August 1, 2017 at 10:12 AM

When the beancounters at Blizz tell you on short notice to come up with a 135-card expansion to sell instead of an Adventure what do you expect?
What would you do if you had limited resources and time?
Recycle ideas, go conservative on design, and throw a couple of half-baked cards that you’d been thinking about since Beta.

Priest is my favorite class and It felt so good to see Ungoro make it so much more powerful. Apparently, KOTFS just threw that out the window and decided priest would get all the meme test cards.

I am very much a fan of priest and I know my boy Anduin. The cards released in this expansion are insane for priest, really insane. I kind of get a loe feeling from them. This expansion priest will rule. This card is very strong because this is better than thoughtsteal. Remember when people said, it is very good in a mirror matchup to thoughtsteal a thoughtsteal to have one extra card. That costs 6 mana and was supposed to very strong. Getting so much value is great.
The other cards are also very strong dealing one damage aoe with lifesteal is insane. Discovering a minion that died and summon it hella broken. The other card to mindcontrol a minion after a turn is ok.

        August 1, 2017 at 11:14 AM

Fully agree! I don’t like the legendary.. But the rest of the cards are wonderful!

I’ve always thought that 3 mana and a card for 2 cards that aren’t in your deck was ok, but not particularly valuable if you know the meta. This however.. THERE IS ACTUAL VALUE. 3 cards for one is much better value than 2!

Other than the legendary (which may see a little play), I have a solid place for each and every other card priest has gotten so far =D

Really bad card, to slow and we really don’t need more copy effects for Priest.
It’s also a Nerf to our Sunshard.
I’m not feeling Priest at all so far this expansion.
Just give us some good minions.
