Btw does a minion with immune survive twisting nether and DOOM and suchs or is it damage only?
I mean if it does, you could blood bloom board clear and save your 8-8 mountain giant and even go face after the taunt is cleared. XD

(another thing that divine shield does not do) XD

If I would give Immune to a minion with divine shield and then attack, would the minion keep the shiled? I’m not sure and that could be relevant in arena some times!

This is basically a neutral (and slightly worse) version of Argent Protector. Divine Shield is better than immune on your turn, since you can play it on a minion that you just played and it still has a benefit. This HAS to be played on a minion that can attack to get value.

The only way Immune on your turn gets more value that Divine Shield is if it take damage multiple times on your turn, which seems niche.

So in that light, I’m feeling pessimistic about this card. Its stat line is about on par with Argent Protector, a card which doesn’t see play in Paladin, so I don’t really imagine any other classes caring about this thing.

Every windfury minion, benefits from this. The reason why windfury sucks is because it’s pointless to atack twice if it dies in the first atack…
Since their now is the 4 mana cost minion wich can have all effects if it’s in your deck, windfury might see play and than immune will be a big deal on those windury minions, and on others it’s still great for tempo gain.

I once did a immune play on the 8-8 hunter beast that can atack again after it killed something. It ended in a board clear and 8 damage to the face. Immune is the most powerfull effect and the statline of this card dont seem bad either.

If argent protector was a non-classcard it would seen more play in meta’s (maybe not this one). It has seen play in old meta’s for paladin. I think hunters would have loved argent protector.

The reason why windfury sucks is because its overvalued to the point that nearly every card with Windury on it has shit stats. This card is not going to make Grook-Fu Master good. It’s not going to make Windfury Harpy good… if cards with Windfury weren’t already good, this card won’t sway the scales. There’s something to say for using dr. 3 with this thing, I guess. That’s that it’ll never happen because you want to go face with Dr. 3 anyways.

…Why is this card so highly rated? It’s not really that amazing. The only instance where Immune is better than just giving a minion Divine Shield is in two instances: Giant Sand Worm, and… actually, that’s it. Just Giant Sand Worm.

And guess what? That exact combo was available in the Year of the Kraken with Stablemaster, and did it ever see play? No. This won’t be any different.

Sure, it could be slightly okay in Arena, but beyond that, it’s a 2-Star card. Nothing more, nothing less.

      What about Wild Pyro?

Wow people are so overhyping this card. In 99% of cases it reads “give a friendly minion Divine Shield… until end of turn”. Kind of cool in Arena, but really… there are better things out there. I guess it’s cool with a Giant Sand Worm that somehow survived the turn it was played, in which case you are pretty much winning anyway.

It will allow for some new combo ideas with destroy cards. and stuff that negates divine shield.
but that’s it, will probably only see play in very specific combo decks

if this card would have been 3-4 statswise would have been the most op card ever printed.
This card will see play in a lot of decks it’s just that kind of broken.
The most depressing thing about this card it will force you play the game in a certain way.

Ok maybe I’m overhyping this card a bit, but certainly this type of effect is very strong. Let me explain why I said what I did:

        In constructed:
In decks that this card will find her place(mostly aggro/midrange types) the effect alone can snowball the game in your favor. Yeah you compare it with argent protector, but remember that argent protector is a paladin card, a class that doesn’t have burst damage. And imo immune is worth more than divine shield. Imagine you have an early board you go for aggresive plays, and then you can counter his defensive ones without taking damage and doing more damage the next turn and u finish with your burn cards. Or even in paladin this card with the buff cards will be very very strong as this will allow to trade for free.

        In Arena:
I can rate it as maybe as high as Spikeridged Steed, a card that is a stample in that mode. The stats are good as there are not many cards with 4-3 stats for 3 mana that counters it, and the effect is much more valuable as time goes by.

Giving divine shield types of effect to powerful aggro/midrange decks is not something to mess with.

How is it broken? This is a worse argent protector. Worse stats and divine shield is better than immune

Almost as good as argent protector as a neutral.

OMFG this is WAY TOO OP!! Just imagine this on DOOMSAYER!

    • TacoRocco
      August 4, 2017 at 4:38 PM

The immune from this minion only applies to the turn you play it, so it’s completely useless on Doomsayer

      August 4, 2017 at 4:39 PM

I can’t tell if you’re joking or not… if you are then not very funny, and if you aren’t this card only works on your turn, so on your opponents turn doomsayer would no longer have immunity… so playing this on doomsayers would be literally useless.

This in arena is great, also synergizes very well with poisonous.
