Its +1/0 and cthun synergy compared to existing minion.
Its docent 3 drop, when its 2, its almost as good as the 2/2 get secret is. (which is prob top5 card in game)

Given that the existing minion in question is both neutral and utter garbage, it’s not that big of a deal.

I mean there’s 2/2 +1 spell dmg in game. Garbage, but with this buff mage has another powerfull 2 drop

Not really. If you want spell damage, Thalnos is still probably better since it cycles.
