The volatile skeleton archetype is pretty bad I feel like, but this card here is the most “fine” one out of all the others, including the location. It gives a bit of protection, it craetes a couple of minions and then calls it a day. It’s fair, but also very flexible, being good on curve against all kinds of different decks. That said, I don’t see it being played outside of the volatile skeleton archetype, and if that archetype doesn’t pull through (like I suspect) then I am afraid this card won’t either.
Idk curving the location into this is kinda playable. Freezing a minion and summoning a 2/2 that can control board going into 4/4 & 4 armor on 4 is at the very least something that progresses your game plan. Will you take damage on the backswing because of that? Probably, but it’s not like end of the world bad. Then you can follow up on t5 with another freeze and whatever play you have access to before you go boom with the 6 spell to kill off your skeletons & resummon them.
Skellie Mage is prolly bad but at least it looks fun and there’s synergy & a curve inherent to it.
too slow at four mana.
Four mana is the power play spot in meta so you need super good cards in this time.
There are just two boys who stand on the field and if they get killed they will be catched by the big spider tank boys.

This skeleton stuff is probably going to go the way of Curse Warlock where it all gets buffed a month after launch. It all just costs too much and is insanely slow. This might have been closer to playable if they had taunt over you getting armor that way the deathrattle is more “relevant”.
It does a lot, in that it deals 2 damage twice, summon two 2/2’s and gets you 4 armor, but the 2 damage twice is a deathrattle, and 2/2s don’t tend to compete very well on turn 4.
