Guys this would be great in wild. 4 mana to put 2 shielded minibots and another 2 or lower minion. Damn this is an awesome card. Secret paladin is gonna be even more annoying in wild.
If there is a way for an otk deck jeez, get cards like loot hoarder and Thalnos, draw cards and thin your deck in no time to get your combo. Maybe with anything in wild, we will see.
Compared to the other recruit cards 4 mana and 3 minions this is an improvement
(To random)
Anyone who knows MTG’s Collected Company knows that this is incredibly powerful. Unfortunately HS’s Battlecries don’t trigger anytime the minions hit the battlefield. Otherwise, this would be meta-defining.
Something else that’s good with this Dirty Rat.
Most decks that run dirty rat run it for its battlecry, so as to remove a combo piece. Otherwise, if you draw it instead of pulling it you just have a pretty bad card in your hand.
1 copy in a Healadin or Controladin could work, as in the late game you really don’t want to be drawing your low cost minions in the first place
8/10
This card both has great mana efficiency while also working as a powerful deck thinner. It also can have some fun applications the decklist only contains certain key 2 drops such as doomsayers or maybe murlocs. The card prohibits a deck from containing Prince Keleseth, but Keleseth Paladin never saw much play to begin with.
Hemet really didn’t work out too well.
yeah hemet didnt work out, but this is totally different.
this is putting those cards in play rather than discarding them, so at least you are still using those cards
this also focuses minions only, so there’s more variety in terms of spells you can use compared to hemet
this is a good card for quest pally, because quest pally just needs minions on board and summoning 3 at once from your deck also means you will have a higher chance of drawing buffs after to buff any minions that stick
Pally wants to cast its 2 cost and lower minions at specific times/to get their battlecries, so this won’t help them. Hydrologist is so much better when its battlecry goes off, Doomsayer is a specific time play to reduce aggro, and Pyro is their board clear. None of those want to get pulled. Pass.
In Arena, this could possibly work, but it sounds too difficult to set up/draft around and possibly even too weak once you do to really matter.
Standard: 1/5
Arena: 1/5
Aggro Paladin already runs finja despite most of their murlocs having battlecries. So do many midrange paladin lists. This is the same deal.
The tempo increase is worth losing the battlecries, plus it thins the deck to give the deck a better chance of draw what they need to be able to curve Scalebane > Spikeridge Steed > Bonemare on 5 > 6 > 7
As an addendum, think if it this way. Aggro murloc paladin generallt runs 12 murlocs besides Finja. Of those, 8 have battlecries. Yet finja is still good as it thins the deck and gets tempo.
In the worse case, say thia card pull a hydrologist, a rockpool, and a vilefin. Thar is still 5/8 worth of stats, and is increasing your chances of drawing & curving into Scalebane, Spikeridge, and Bonemare by removing low costs
ow fk no not a card that makes murlock paldin even beter…
The last thing i wanna see is more Murlocs XD
I use rogue, but this looks like a good card
Yay, more murloc paladin. Exactly what I wanted…
MRLLLGLGLLGLGLL
Annoy-o-tron (or 1/1 annoyotron for Paladin) + Doomsayer would probably be the god draw against Aggro. Against control probably Stubborn Gastropod + Millhouse Manastorm. Brings up the question as to how much are you willing to sacrifice your deck to complement one card (I probably wouldn’t put Millhouse in just for this card). Eh, whatevs. Could be good.
Also Keleseth has some synergies if you have good 1-drops.
Make Millhouse great again.
This reminds me a bit of Collected Company in Magic. I’d be surprised if it doesn’t see any play at all, as summoning up to 6 mana worth of minions for 4 mana seems very powerful.
yes and the fact is that it grabs more minions with less stats is beneficial for murloc pally
it allows for them to properly combat tempo
EX.
get 2/1 haste (forget the name), righteous protector and rockpool hunter
instant board-state, defense, and most importantly card advantage (it will probably relpace the draw card effects in the paladin aggro lists)
One important thing is that when you play this card mid-late game you increase the chance of drawing a stronger card (like tirion) next turn.. You remove 3 weak drops from your deck!!!
Millhouse manastorm lul
This card is actually very good and is directly meant to play aggro not control, ofc you can try and do some doomsayers+taunt wall but it will not be as consistent as in aggro and also less competitive. Today not competitive = not playable. Overall nice card.
4 mana to draw and play 3 of your 1-2 cost minions to thin your deck. This has to be a good card. It’s like that 3 mana draw 3 1-drops except it plays them too.
Its small time recruit on steroids
This could use be used as a kind of trick removal if you run only 2 doomsayers, as 2 or less minions, to have this draw both, as then the opponent has to clear both doomsayers. The third 2 or less minions could be a taunt to help protect.
this can be an aggro card too… think about the murlocs the 1/1 divine shields etc…
draw 3 is a 5 mana effect on it’s own, this card costs 4 and can then play up to 6 mana of stats, there’s no way this card isn’t going to be strong
Could be ok in control. Gets Golakka, hydrologist, pyro, and doomsayer
It can also pull out stubborn gastropod and that is amazing.
Golakka and hydro will not trigger their battlecry so it won’t be good for them.
Still, even if the battlecry wont trigger, it’s 3 2 mana cards so basicically gollaka + hydro + pyro = 2/3 + 2/2 + 3/2 = 7/7. Thats a 4 mana 7/7 for paladin that gets more countered by board clear then the 4 mana 7/7 shaman (still good tho because its basicly 1 card that soaks up a board clear). Lets not forget that this card thins your deck out allowing you to draw more late game cards later on in the game.
But yeah, this card is defenitely not meant to be played with card that relies heavily on their battlecry effects.
that is a valid point! I believe this card works well with Prince paladin decks(i hate to admit this) but you end up with 2/3 gastropod, 2/2 righteous protector, 2/3 mean street marshal = 4 mana 6/8 taut,DS, poison, draw 1 board.
Prince and gastro sick combo..
Gastro is 2 doesn’t work w/prince
Even in a Prince deck this is good, as getting 3 one drops meabs this card was basically a 1 mana draw 3 one drops.
