This is tough to evaluate. 3 mana draw one is tough, but it had a nice buff effect and you can build your deck to optimize it. Won’t really know how good this one is until we get it in action.
Only really works with prelate, and even then, it’s not game breaking or anything. As a standalone card, this rather sucks. 2/5
This is basically just performing the same role as Witchwood Piper, except for 1 more mana you get a 3/3 body instead of +2/+2 to a card in your hand. Seems like a bad deal. The only possible scenario I can think of is some kind of combo deck where the lowest minion in your deck is a combo piece and benefits from being larger in your hand…
I mean, it’s certainly POSSIBLE to print that specific set of cards, but it certainly hasn’t happened yet.
But it doesn’t summon the 2/2 unlike Witchwood Piper having an immediate 3/3 body on the board. Still feels bad. 🙁
I like to think of this card as a “3 mana 2/2, draw the lowest costed minion in your hand.” Reminds me very much of Witchwood Piper in that scene as well. But I do think that this card will see some sort of experimentation, maybe along with Witchwood Piper included, so that way you can draw out 4 of your “worthless” lategame minions, when it’s turn 10+ or so, if you happen to be unlucky.
I think sadly, You can’t use cards like Sarione Taskmaster because it’s going to be a “4 Mana 3/4 make a 0/3 for your opponent, which is the reason why people have a bad tease in their mouths, which is fair enough, but considering that you no longer need to worry about that 1 Mana 2/3 in your Lategame, I think it’s better to make a below-average minion in your hand and out of your deck, then having the chances of drawing that card with no benefits.
I’d give it 4 Stars for me, since I LOVE Witchwood Piper, and I love Paladin no longer being an Idiot with Baku Anymore, so it’s the reason why I’m going to love this card as well.
But it doesn’t summon the 2/2 unlike Witchwood Piper having an immediate 3/3 body on the board. Still feels bad. ????
Btw anyone else wish the elf was blonde at least I see this and start thinking of saber from F/SN maybe the elf will become a king *lol*.
Bigadin
A tempting card for Prelate decks or Big Decks, actually. Like, if you could get it so the cheapest minions in your deck are Zilliax and Mechano-Egg this would actually be kinda cool.
Big Paladin has a way to guarantee Barnes on 4 now, that’s some great meme potential.
What a waste. Such a terrible card. Stuff like this makes me think that the designers don’t even understand the fundamentals of the game they are working on. This card has to play the minion for it to work. You can’t draw a 1 cost and give it +2 for 3 mana! That would lose an insane amount of tempo almost lowering your winrate to 0% instantly. Why not just play a 3 cost minion ??
0 stars I’m not even going to bother giving this card a 1.
Witchwood piper is straightout better. You get immediate board preshure 4 mana though but not that many 1 cost minions are good with the 3/3 stats. It can give you a great turn 4 if you are playing aggro but you lose your turn 3 and that is bad. And now that paladin loses even more card draw this does not replace the divine favour.
Cute, but Immortal Prelate is not Kingsbane. It can get Polymorphed, Hexed, Sapped or Silenced to remove all of its buffs, so doubling down on it sounds like a bad idea. 2/5
This works well with immortal if keep 0 and 1 cost minions out of deck it works like witchwood Piper for 1 less Mana and 1/1 less stat value and it buffs card draw instead of giving board presence so it’s fairly balanced. Add in the fact that this can be a tutor card to buff a low cost card that’s dangerous like prelate and it has some uses. There’s another trick this does of interest it let’s you pull out low cost minions from deck so you can set up for higher cost value from things like duel and crystalizing lens. And if duel pulled say prelate it could at least be buffed up before hand. So over all it has a few interesting possibilities and will definitely see play in meme decks. Btw at least half of the time I’m playing a deck it’s meme based. I’ve killed people with the penguin and the chickens this time I wanna kill someone with the druid squirrels only annoying bit is some people quit before I can kill them with the stuff.
Would have been cool if the elf girl was lynessa from knc, would have made an awesome knc reference along with the name
Paying 3 mana to draw 1 is quite expensive, but could work with immortal prelate as tutor and extra buff.
Good shout. Crystal smith would be another really good target.
