What is font size and name description this card
ya I’m sick of summoning leok on an empty board. This is more card efficient and mana efficient than running 3x animal companion. 8 mana 5/2 charge, 2/4 + 1 att to all minions, 5/4 taunt for 8 mana? SIGN ME UP. This card may single handedly bring poor old rexxar back to life.
midrange/control hunter anyone? Might be an interesting deck to play/play against instead of face hunter all the time 🙁
So what does a Midrange Hunter even look like in Standard? Depending on the list, Midrange Hunter loses:
2 Webspinners
1-2 Glaivezooka
2 Haunted Creepers
2 Mad Scientists (Which is also a nerf to all Hunter secrets and Eaglehorn Bow)
2 Piloted Shredders
1 Loatheb
1 Dr. Boom
That is A LOT of losses. Hunter will need a lot more than just Call of the Wild to come back from these hits. Don’t get me wrong, the card is insane. Midrange Hunter just seems to have lost so much power, given that their biggest strengths come from Naxx and GvG. Sure other decks lose power too, but Hunter seems to get hit the hardest. I really hope that Hunter gets some more great cards from WOTOG.
Hey guys! I found the Face Hunter!
In all seriousness, this card is crazy powerful. Getting 12/10 worth of stats for 8 mana distributed over 3 bodies seems to be insane at first glance. And while Hunter is losing Face value (hue), it has been gaining at least a couple of cards that have synergy. I can’t wait to see the hunter legendary, but seeing the cards, Control hunter seems to be becoming a thing with WoG
Always Huffer!
…and Misha…and that other dude.

Great Card!
So much I love about this card
Besides its amazing value for 8 Mana , it has much more to offer.
With 8 Mana you can play it together with diffrent 2 Mana Hunter spells or other 2 Mana Cards wich offers you more adaptation
And the versatility of this card is really good as well
you get a 5/4 with charge to react to anything directly or to rip a big chunk of health out of your opponent
you get a 5/4 with taunt to protect Leokk and Hoffer
and Leokk overall brings also pressure to the board because it directly affects to two minions
for 8 Mana and one Card you build up a board, split you minions, give yourself the opportunity of optional direct trading with hoffer, strengthen your persisting board and protecting everthing at the same time
Auto include for midrange/control hunter
Whats up with the reveal order on these cards ? I thought the highest vote was meant to be first ? give us Cho’Gal!
I think there is no Cho’Gal comming
I think its propably a Warlock Spell
It may be a spell but cho’gall just has to be in this expansion. He is a staple when it comes to the old gods… Not to mention, his hammer in as a card so it’s likely he’ll be a card whether or not that voting card is him or not.
Also last second more people voted for this card so that’s why this was revealed first
Cho’gall is not a spell. He’s the Warlock class legendary. 7 mana 7/7 with Battlecry: the next spell you cast this turn costs health instead of mana.
god damn it blizerd why you got to give hunter more good cards sigh
in real news its a prety good card but its a good hunter card so i still hate 😛
It’s 8 mana. Face Hunter will never run it and Control/Midrange Hunter aren’t anything like how annoying Face Hunter is.
You do realize that Hunter decks include very few of their actual class cards, right? Hunter needs good class cards, and even the ones that are good are only good with combos that currently aren’t good enough. Druid is the class you should be complaining about. Their class cards never suck.
Dark Wispers, Wispers of the Old Gods, Astral Communion, Bite, Druid of the Fang, Healing Touch, Jungle Moonkin, Mark of Nature, Moonfire, Mulch, Naturalize, Poison Seeds, Ironbark Protector and Volcanic Lumberer would like a word with you.
Yeah, some of them are okay in decks built around them (Moonfire and Moonkin in Spell Power Druid for instance), but those decks typically suck.
your wrong about poison seeds. if combined wit explosive sheep u get a full board clear. (I know the sheep is gonna rotate out, but as of now poison seeds are not useless because of this combo)
Looks ok but nothing more. Im happy that mid range and control hunter is becoming more of a thing now 🙂
Instead of “To my side”, it will say “Three my side”
“Won my side” “To my side” “Free my side” “For my side” “Fight my side” “Sick my side” “Severe my side” “Ate my side” “Knight my side” “Tend my side”. Seems legit
Lol
hello Dr 8
Completely agreed. Three 4 mana minions (+1/+1 or +0/+2 over a 3 cost), plus 2 to refund the aggro tax gives a 14-cost value for an 8-cost card… This card might singlehandedly make control hunter powerful.
I think Midrange Hunter will also use at least one copy
11 mana worth of stats for 8 mana, with the potential for more, instant impact on the board, and split across multiple bodies? Yes please…
Where is Mr. Bigglesworth?
I wonder what would happen if you play this vs. Kel’thuzad…
Play my Beasts? Yup.
Sooo we’re getting 3 3-cost minions on turn 8… wow… how… powerful…
This card is very good if you have something in the board. The Leokk buff plus a 5-attack Huffer will make you trade efficently.
If you just play this card in turn 8 with not so much pressence you’re screwed. A 5 attack charge plus 4-4 taunt is a bit poor. Leokk’ll just immediately die.
You have to remember that the “3 cost minions” from animal companion are stronger than a normal three-drop, and it’s the randomness that keeps that original hunter card balanced (kind-of). Huffer is a strictly better Wolfrider (+1/+1 stats and beast synergy), Misha is a strictly better Ironfur Grizzly (+1/+1 stats), and Leokk is a strictly better raid leader (+2 health and beast synergy). In truth, the Animal companions are actually around 3.5 mana worth.
In addition, playing 3 3 drops is worth 9 mana for this 8 mana card, even if it isn’t the best curve-wise, but let’s face it- you’re not curving out to turn 10 dropping a ten drop.
The stats come out to a base 10/10 for 8 mana which is pretty good, plus it’s technically 12/10 worth of stats because of Leokk’s effect. So it’s not as bad as you’re saying it is. It can help you push for lethal in the case of the five damage from huffer and buffing existing minions as well as leaving a scary board for your opponent to deal with, and can help you stabilize when behind. I think this will be a great high-end card that hunters have always needed. I expect one of these in many Midrange Hunter decks. In arena this will be amazing (see silverhand knight)
Tl;Dr – It’s better than you think
+1/+1 is generally worth 1 mana; it was the randomness which reduced the effective mana cost to ~3/3.5, and eliminating that brings the value up to 4 mana (4*2 + 2 = 10 points). 3 4-mana cards is worth 14 (14*2 + 2 = 30 points)… This card is absolutely insane. I don’t know if it can dictate a new meta by itself, but it’s well over the point of balance. Dr. 8?
tl;dr: It’s WAY better than you think
This card is amazing. I agree. But 3*4=12 :/
Don’t worry; I can do math- Generally, if you evaluate the power of a given card, it should be ‘worth’ 1 more than you pay (hence why wisp doesn’t actually have infinite value). So 3 cards with an effective mana cost of 4, i.e. a ‘value’ of 5 gives a total value of 15; but if the value is 15, then by the same rule, the cost should be 14.
To demonstrate in actual cards, since Arcane Shot is 1 mana for 2 damage, and Quick Shot is 2 mana, it seems most reasonable that Quick Shot would be 4 damage, 8 damage for Fireball, and so on. However, if we instead look at the value of each card (1+mana cost), we get AS is a value of 2 for 2 damage, QS, is 3 value and 3 damage, and Fireball is 5 value with 6 damage; hence why Fireball is considered slightly OP.
Or look at Arcane Intellect (4 value, 2 cards) vs. Sprint (8 value, 4 cards), or Earth Shock (2 value) = Silence (1 value) + Moonfire (1 value).
Unrelated note; for the same reason, Ball of Spiders should cost 5 mana, Arcane Explosion should cost 1, Wisps of the Old Gods should cost 6, etc., etc.
tl;dr: if you want to ‘combine’ cards, increase the cost of the final card by 1 for each card after the first.
But what about Hemet? Raid leader would not die to Hemet! 😛
Stat wise a very decent value card. May be there will be some decent board clears in this expansion for hunters to play Control deck. This card will be awesome in Control hunter deck. But midrange and reno-hunter deck can use this card well too.
Hunter has a lot of decent board clears and other control cards already. Hunter’s Mark, Powershot, Dreadscale, Explosive Shot, Freezing Trap, and Bear Trap are all pretty good and that’s just what I remember right now. Powershot and Explosive Shot are almost always strictly better Consecrations and Hunter’s Mark is just a mini Equality that doesn’t suck if you have a board. Control Hunter has plenty of tools it just isn’t played for other reasons, namely having no real strong lategame class cards (Highmane is about as good as it gets, and that’s not too amazing for control) and lacking in the way of single target removal. This card should help with the first problem a bit and who knows if we’ll ever get a fix to the second.
Yeah. Totally agree. Anyway this card is going to be a nice addition to the hunters.
Amaz said Animal companion was gonna be nerfed, anyway this is a great card
this card was predicted weeks ago on hearthcards http://www.hearthcards.net/cards/b79b0082.png
Given the fact that the artwork was there already, it’s pretty self explanatory. There’s not much else the card could be.
Yeah, I saw that one too… Apparently Bliz didn’t go with the ‘Blood Brothers’ card:

Personally, I think that one would’ve been more fun than the official version.
Nor did they take my Rats… 😛
SMOrc
If you’re going for pure SMOrc value, this does 5 damage for 8 mana. Not great. The strength of this card is the stats (10/10 for 8 mana +2 more attack from buffs) plus their effects in general.
Face Hunter is going Control lol.
Well at least the Mad Scientist is gone.
I can see this card being better than expected and I expect it to be great.
Not bad. In total, 8 mana for 10/10 of stats spread over three minions. 12/10 if you count the Leokk buff. Overall I would say this card is playable but not amazing.
The point of this card is versatility. It will probably be somewhat useful no matter what’s happening in the late game. On the defensive? You get a 5/4 taunt. Pushing for lethal? You get a 5/2 charge and a buff to any other dudes you might have. Fighting for board? You get three decent bodies, one of which can trade immediately, one of which helps your other minions trade up, and one that protects your minions.
Since it’s three minions, it will be difficult for your opponent to remove them without some big board clear like Flamestrike, Brawl, or Twisting Nether. And to remove them with trades, he would need to have three decent-sized minions on the board.
I’d say the versatility and potential value make up for the fact that it isn’t as threatening a finisher as an 8-cost legendary might be. This would obviously be something a more control-oriented deck would want, and maybe a midrange-type Hunter would consider running a one-of. I voted 4/5 stars.
Combo into a 9 damage King Krush next turn
Geez guys you get one of each, no possibility of 3 huffers. Learn to read.
You summon 3 3 drops (that are practically as good as 4 drops) for 8 mana. Great card for a midrange/control hunter deck (maybe even useful as a finisher in a fast hunter) and would be an amazing card to top deck turn 10 when your hand is empty because you establish a strong board presence and can immediately do 7 damage (huffer + hero power)
In Standard and wild I give this 9/10
Arena 10/10
Let’s take a look at what this card does:
Effectively summons a 5/2 charge, 2/4 that gives your minions +1 attack, and a 5/4 taunt (I put the leokk buff on the two other companions right away. 5/4 taunt is worth 4 mana, 5/2 is worth around 5 mana, and the 2/4 buffer is around 3.5 mana. So you’re getting some good value. It’s an 8 mana “Deal 5 damage, Summon a 5/4 taunt and a 2/4, give your other minions +1 attack” So It’s probably alright.
You get 12/10 worth of stats.
So you get a 2/4 body , a 5/2 charge and a 5/4 taunt … seems like it covers all the bases unless your opponent has a lot of board control
flame strike=gg
Flamestrike= 1 for 1 value.
casual 3 huffer
good job blizz
It’ll summon one of each. So all you get is a huffer that’s been buffed by leokk and guarded by misha.
“It’s always Huffer!” was never more true.
What do you mean
Have you ever played against a face hunter, ever? It’s always Huffer.
Unless I’m playing as a Face Hunter … then it’s always Leokk – always.
so true…
It’s call Murphy’s law…
