Nice card that can slow aggro down as well as stall something like Deathwing late game.
Also has nice synergy with Mana Wyrm.
6/10
Cheap spell for mana wyrm and also freezes a random enemy minion. Might help create a tempo Mage with slightly less secrets
rng kills stealthed minions…
just to remind…
I guess I should add this card to my Frost Lich Sindragosa Deck
Has potential to get deleted by the new anti jade card though, so keep that in mind
so you don’t have to worry about topdecking it late.
decent card, but the random factor is a huge problem, otherwise would have a lot of synergy with 2 turns board clear
The art has a lovely Dragon roleplayer in it…
Compares with Flamecannon, which is good, as that saw a lot of play. Noteworthy is that 2 damage for 1 mana cards don’t really see play (see Holy Smite and Arcane Shot), but the other good news is that freeze is a pretty good effect to have tacked on, and mage loves cheap spells. I think this’ll find its way into at least certain mage decks, if not a ton of them.
Plus all the new freeze tempo Mage stuff
Mage is different. The 1 mana 2 damage double spell bonus card saw a lot of play. I think this is an auto include in most mage decks because of the insane tempo it can gain you in combo with the mage hero power and spell damage minions
“Oh hey mage is not getting strong cards for aren.. oh fuck me”
But this is the only one. No new burn spells. no new board clears.
How is this good in arena? This just compares poorly to frostbolt. For one less mana you get 1 less dmg and the random effect which makes it a terrible play almost every time.
It may be better to compare it to Glacial Shard, which is better in almost every way. You get to choose the target, you have the possibility to freeze your opponents face and it is more versatile being a minion. The only downside compared to Breath of Sindragosa is the fact that you have to wait a turn to deal 2 damage.
and 2 of the 3 good arena classes can just hero power the shard.
The random effect doesn’t matter that much, see Flamecannon. While it’s probably not as good as Flamecannon used to, it has enough value to be picked. Wouldn’t pick over Frostball though.
