Good for quest buff priest 5/5
I can compare this card to Sludge Belcher and I’m liking this so far.
Sludge Belcher is a 5 mana 3/5
This one is a 4 mana 2/5. Their cost is understandable.
Sludge belcher is a Deathrattle, this one is Reborn. Since deathrattle synergies nowadays isn’t as relevant as opposed to the N’Zoth days, Reborn has more value, at least when rating on this specific expansion alone.
Sludge Belcher provides a 1/2 Taunt, as opposed to a 2/1 Taunt. Normally, a defensive minion with more health would be the better one, however, based on turn on which this one is dropped, the taunt’s hp really doesn’t matter unless you’re maintaining enemy silver hand recruits for your opponent.
All-in-all, I love the stickiness of this card. The best thing about it is, the reborned taunt can be healed as opposed to the 1/2 taunt that sludge belcher generates.
Most underrated card so far.
This is a better beltcher. It has 1 less attack but costs 1 less mana, and 1mana is worth 2stats. 2/1 taunt and 1/2 taunt are worth the same. So that’s .5mana better than sludge beltcher. Also it fits more decks than beltcher because it’s cheaper. This will see the most play out of all cards revealed so far.
Cheaper/weaker Sludge Belcher. I think it’ll see play in control matchups. I’d wager a solid 4 rating right now. Especially since the Reborn mechanic should have synergy in this expansion for many classes.
It’s a Better Sen’jin Shieldmasta, but it might actually see a bit a play for Quest Paladin. You can pretend that is a Reverse Divine Shield for this minion since It comes back alive with 1 health. Actually, now that I think about it, a 4 Mana 2/5 Taunt “Divine Shield” (I know It’s reborn) Sounds not too shabby. 3 Stars, I’m Curious.
Yeah this is kind of thing that the resurection priest likes when reborns get brought back by resurect even if it targeted the 1 health version the card will come back at full health and will have it’s reborn tag again. So any reborn card brought back has to be killed twice.
Outside of the priest this is a nice minion to drop stat line wise this is basically the same as saronite chain gang with the values split differently however if you can heal it when it dies this card can have more value than saronite.
Didn’t seem very good at first, then I remembered Sludge Belcher. This is a whole mana cheaper, for one less offense and a token with one less health. This will definitely see play, 4 out of 5.
Will not see constructive play outside of experimentation with Quest Paladin. It’s about the power level of Shieldmasta but with reborn synergy. 2/5
I disagree, I think if Shieldmasta had deathrattle summon a 2-1 with taunt it would get played all the time, and this is almost that card. The only question is if the 3 power on Sludge Belcher was worth the extra mana, because it would often kill 3 toughness creatures forced to attack it while this will let them live.
More taunts, i wonder how many of these we will not need
Nice! A good Taunt minion. I would like to see more Taunt + Lifesteal minions or Taunt + Deathrattle. This is one step in the right direction
Looks like the paladin quest is going to survive on neutral minions alone. Or it’s just not going to work
Reborn synergies aside, this is just a good taunt minion, better than other 4 mana neutral taunts. 4/5
Lone champion is a 4/6 or 2/6. This is just a 2/6. Sure, splitting bodies on taunt is cool but i doubt it’s better than 3 stars
Proud Defender is a pretty mediocre minion. It’s fine as a 4/6 when played on curve, but anytime after that it’s just a 4 mana 2/6. What other 4 mana taunts are there… Omega Defender? Sen’jin Shieldmasta? I think Bone Wraith is better than all of them, though not by much. My rating is more indicative of how much play I expect it to see, and as the best early taunt minion, I think it’ll see plenty of use.
Sludge belcher is *just a 5 mana 3/7, with split bodies and is obeof the better hs cards ever made. This is stupid good 5/5
That’s true, but its Way weaker than sludge, cause 2dmg is crazy low, and the 2/1 body dies to a ping. Tho maybe i underestimated it a bit at first
Amet + Bone Wraith + Embalming = 9 mana 8/28 over 4 bodies, 3 of which have taunt.
Sludge Belcher 2.0. Going to see lots and lots of play.
Really sticky on the board, just like sludge belcher, but it has overall weaker stats and lacks the deathrattle aspect. Just kind of average. Not bad, just average. Better in a taunt warrior though. 3/5
This requires 10 damage to get through or two destroy cards. This is harder to get through than Annoy-O-Module or Psych-O-Tron or most of the other divine shield taunts. I think it’s pretty good, particularlly for defensive strategies.
6 damages, not 10
6 damage as reborns come back at 1hp*
D’oh! Forgot about that minor detail :p
I mean it’s good in arena
