Actually works with shudderwock quite fine, I just built control shaman with new shuderwock combo.

Use the coppertail imposter to make your shuderwock stealthy, then after playing shuderwock, he can mostly survive till you drop the barista next turn. After that you have a chance to play a shuderwock each turn, which is crazy value in the lategame. Won me a few games already.

    Remember Voone? Neither do I.

Actually I do. Voone is quite a solid card and I had quite some success with it. The problem was that baku hero power is so much better that you couldn’t run in it baku dragon warrior deck. I am quite certain we will see more of it once the rotation comes and new expension experiments wear off.

I think shudderwock wise you’d have to play shudderwock then play this get copy of shudderwock then play that shudderwock. It could be an infinite loop as long as there’s another shudderwock on the board BESIDES the one your playing. Also anyone else notice how absolutely evil this card is when take into account say the lackeys could drop 5 lackeys turn 10 drop this and get a copy of all 5 back. Depending on which ones it is that would be ridiculous there’s also fact that rogue wise you have spirit of the shark…..I’m just going to let y’all think about that last one. Overall shudderwock could be looped but you’d need to have one on the board at all times. Which means your opponent just needs to kill it fast.

She’s overcosted by 1 mana in terms of stats.

As for her ability, it looks pretty weak in terms of its average-case scenario: you need to have other battlecry minions on your board, and then she adds a copy of those battlecry minions to your hand. Generally speaking, your opponent is going to be doing one of three things: 1. Clearing your board, in which case it’ll be hard to get value out of this card; 2. Ignoring your board and pushing damage to your face, in which case whatever value you can get out of this will be of little relevance compared to the pressing need of staying alive; or 3. Failing to deal with both your board and your face, in which case you can get some nice value out of this and win more.

Unless there’s some powerful combo with this card that I’ve missed, this looks like a ‘win more’ card that offers little value and poor tempo when you’re even or playing from behind. 2/5

IT DOESN”T WORK WITH SHUDDERWOCK. Shudderwock plays battlecries as if he was casting them, meaning he can’t hit himself. Since Shudderwock is casting this battlecry, he won’t add a copy of himself to your hand. The only circumstance where you get a Shudderwock using this card, is if you already have a shudderwock on the board and you play this.

Now that that’s cleared up, time for my rating. This effect is very powerful even if the Shudderwock combo doesn’t work. This is a five mana card that adds potentially up to 6 cards to your hand. 5/5

Think it’s important to note the phrasing of the Battlecry: It adds copies of OTHER Battlecry minions.

This is to imply that it will not copy itself, even if there’s another copy of itself on the field. I know the theory is that it would be great with Shutterwock since it will just copy itself to your hand a bunch, but I don’t think that’s how it’s going to work at all. If it’s the same minion, it’s not gonna copy itself to your hand.

That said, there are some really interesting combinations you can use this card with. You can play it after Shutterwock to add multiples to your hand if you just want to make your opponent really upset, if you really wanted.

Don’t think you’d make a Battlecry-focused deck around this, but you would certainly use it to make copies of key Battlecries.

Primordial Drake damages OTHER minions and yet will damage a copy of itself. This is just to say it won’t copy the one being played.

This is really good with at 10 Mana with Crystal stag. 5 Mana for Crystal stag, battlecry summon another copy of Crystal stag. Then with your last 5 Mana cast barista and you get two Crystal stags to you’re hand for a total of 6 5/5 Crystal stags on the field. Not to mention if you shadowstep/brewmaster/toggwaggle’s scheme the barista.

My assumption is that it WON’T work with Shudderwock because it specifies “OTHER Battlecry Minions”- Shudderwock doesn’t hurt himself when he copies Dragonmaw Scorcher, so he won’t copy himself with this card.

Her stats aren’t terrible for a five drop and the effect is real good, whether that’s doubling up on a big Battlecry that sticks or serving as a hand refill for lots of tiny Battlecries (Lackeys??)

    Has potential for sure.

so does it copy BC minions in your hand ? doesn’t specify. Shudder will be back

    • JustYourAveragePayToWin
      April 2, 2019 at 2:05 PM

It does not copy BC minions in your hand, otherwise it would specify that. Also, Shudder will not return because he currently has no standard minions that say “Summon an exact copy of this minion” meaning shudderwock can’t copy himself for Lynchens battlecry to add more shudderwocks to my hand.

Might be worse than Zola as it’s more expensive and you can’t do things like copy Janalai. It can potentially give your a lot of value so who knows. Anyway, why are so many people on twitter saying this is *broken* with Shudderwock? Am I missing something? Or they just missread.

      April 2, 2019 at 11:32 AM

I’m wondering the same thing. It doesn’t copy itself so shouldnt interact with a Shudderwock on an empty board, right?

      • Sergi-13
        April 2, 2019 at 11:42 AM

That’s right. It’s funny how many people get overhyped over a card because they just misread. It happened with Revenge of the Wild too.

            April 2, 2019 at 7:36 PM

And why would you play this in wild over grumble who gives you a 1 mana copies so you can chain those shudderwocks? I really don’t understand the hype.
Card is solid, has potential, but will more often than not be just more expensive zola (which is rotating).

            April 3, 2019 at 8:54 AM

because it doesn”t pick them up, it makes copies, so you get a full lethal board every time

        April 2, 2019 at 2:46 PM

im working on how to make it work with shudder
obviously you need a way to keep shudder alive for 2 turns to make the loop
stealth from coppertail imposter will protect it from most things turn 1(was how i kept it alive for grumble after saranite nerf)
turn to though a bit harder
no battle cries currently save it, although you will have an additional 5 mana your 2nd turn to try and do something.
another option less powerful but much easier, copy lifedrinker for more damage on original shudder

    • Samboes
      April 2, 2019 at 11:32 AM

If i understand this correctly this is why its good with shudderwock: If you play this with shudderwock in hand you will get an extra copy of shudderwock. And when you play shuderwock it will repeat the battle cry of this minion. So cause you still have another shuderwock in your hand when you play this you will get shuderwock again so you will have infinte shudderwocks. You cant play 10 shudderwocks the same turn like in the old shudderwock days but you can play one evry turn and if you have played some good battle cry minions this infinte value could be used to win you the game.

      • Samboes
        April 2, 2019 at 11:34 AM

Or do you get coppies of you battle cry minions on the board?

        • Drulis
          April 2, 2019 at 11:40 AM

It should only target those already on board, like Zola but not direkt targeted.

      • Zenbubbles
        April 2, 2019 at 11:35 AM

“Your minions” means minions on the board, not in the hand. This works like Zola, as in, you add copies of all friendly minions on the board to your hand.

    • Solojazz
      April 2, 2019 at 11:33 AM

If you play this card before shudderwock and add it to its battlecry pool, when you play shudderwock it will add another shudderwock to your hand creating infinite value.

      • Drulis
        April 2, 2019 at 11:37 AM

That is so not true. If a card copies cards that are in your hand, it states just that. Like Voone: “Copy all dragons in your hand”. This will only target battlecry minions your control on the board.

      • Sergi-13
        April 2, 2019 at 11:39 AM

No, it will not add another Shudderwock as it clearly says OTHER battlecry minions. As I suspected, they missread the card.
