If this DID NOT draw secrets, I would be all over it for death rattle hunter decks, But it kind of defeats the purpose of deck thinning as most hunter decks thin the deck by having secrets pulled out of the deck and tossed into the battle field. Last thing in the world I want is a secret in my hand if it doesn’t have to be.
My first thoughts was of wild. Toxic reinforcements, Feign death, and a kill command for good measure.
But at the end of the day all I see is tracking, random secret, kill command. That just isn’t what I am looking to draw with a 5 cost 3/5
pass on this 1.
rest in peace kill command, this is what it has been sacrificed for
just play the nerfed reader draw 3 for 3
hunter needs tempo and burst
this could be good in highlander
It’s an overall Tutor Card, that really utilizes for Spell Draw.
I’m hoping that I can finally use Professor Slate as an Actual Competitive Card along with Barak, or otherwise, I’m just going to stick with Tonks for the next 4 extra months, but, we’ll see how good the Spells are going to be that Barak can draw out for us.
4 Stars I think is very balanced for something like Barak. It’s never a bad card, and even Aggro can use it for whenever they run out of Gas.
Combo hunter sounding ever less ridiculous…
This is basically Ringmaster Whatley but supporting a better archetype. Actually it’s likely better than Whatley. Cause the requirement for Whatley can be pretty clunky. This one isn’t.
Kinda just a decent draw card. Fetches Tracking/Arcane Shot/Carrion Studies, Flare/Scavenger’s Ingenuity/a secret, and deadly shot/petting zoo. The card pool post rotation is lackluster atm with core and year of the phoenix but will definitely be better as the new year goes by and more expansion cards are shown off. In wild it’s a tutor with a lot of options but it’s way too slow. In wild especially for hunter, and especially on 5, you can’t be playing cards that don’t do anything on board or don’t really go face. Priest could make great use of it in wild but hunter just doesn’t have the control options for a deck that this could be run in to work well. Also can’t be used in spell hunter, not that it mattered much.
Lock and Load is also on 1 and Quick shot is also on 2. Also Flare isn’t going to be 2 or standard, my bad.
