Really good spell for highlander dragon mage that will obviously see play in there. I don’t think that it’s good enough for Cyclone mage to start running dragons, unless some really good dragon taht interacts with spell will be released. Overall, solid and stable.

Cheap, efficient removal with a value cherry on top. This is both auto-include in Dragon Mage decks, as well as a strong reason to run Dragon mage.

The dragon-in-hand requirement won’t always be met when you need to play this, especially when you need to answer something like a turn 1 Flame Imp, but even without the discover effect this is still adequate. 5/5

Really solid, two for one, not bonkers but a great card for any mage deck. Easily 9/10

What else is there to say? It’s basically Babbling book, but as a spell instead and requires you to hold a Dragon. EZ 5 Stars.

Has potential in several archetypes, though that’s also kinda it’s downside.

Highlander Mage would happily play this, earlygame defense that doesn’t use up your hand it exactly what the deck wants, especially since it’ll already want to run Kalecgos and Dragonqueen Alexstraza and probably Malygos, Aspect of Magic. The downside is that it interferes with your Tortollan Pilgrim but who’s to say that’ll even still be run :p

Tempo/SpellSpam Mage looooves this but it also will struggle to find space for dragons to include. As of right now the only viable activator is Azure Explorer unless you want to run some quirky neutral dragons.

(Normally I hate when people only discuss cards in existing archetypes I don’t really see other archetypes for Mage happening tbh)

It takes a lot to get mage to change archetype or just one really busted card *looks at frostlich jaina*. But for the most part tempo mage is probably the oldest archetype still used by mage. Looks like this is setting up a dragon/dragon Highlander mage.

Taking into account the support cards still have including beast that gains rush and 1 attack and discover spell if have a dragon. It also provides support for a big hand mage with all the refilling cards.

So a rapid fire mage running dragons with all the generating cards could still run as Highlander style.

Was expecting a more interesting breath, but goddamn if this isn’t crazy strong. 5/5
