Bot-Ban Update – May 2024

Blizzard just posted a quick update on the bot ban status. The last one was posted 3 weeks ago and contained 240k bans.

The latest ban wave is a bit smaller, with “only 110k” bot accounts banned. That can, of course, mean two things. Either the bots became harder to detect, or there are simply fewer bot accounts to ban in the first place. From what I’ve heard, it luckily might be the latter. The bot situation seems to be slowly stabilizing, although things are still far from perfect.

Check out the official blue post below:

Hey everyone, I’m back again with another quick bot ban update.

Since our last update, we’ve actioned nearly 110,000 additional accounts. We’ll continue to take action against these abusive accounts to make the Tavern a fairer and more fun place for all our players. We’ll see you in the Tavern!
