While this might not be the news you were hoping for, at least it’s some news. Aleco Gereco, Hearthstone’s Final Design Lead, talked about a balance update on Twitter.
The good news is that apparently devs were paying close attention to people’s feedback on the meta and will take it into account. We are also supposed to get some more “spicy” changes, compared to a rather safe Patch 25.0.4.
The bad news is that it’s “coming later this month”, which of course can mean a lot of dates, but it doesn’t sound like it’s releasing soon (e.g. next week). If it was releasing soon, devs would have most likely been more specific – that’s what they usually do when teasing those patches on social media. My guess would be January 17, but maybe even later.
We should learn more about Patch 25.2 soon enough and that might clarify things a bit. X.2 patches always focus on Battlegrounds (if you are mainly playing this game mode, you should expect a huge update), but historically some of them also contain balance changes for other game modes (like Standard). But even if it won’t have any Standard changes, we should at least learn when the actual balance patch releases.
As mentioned in the patch notes, we’ll be looking to do some more spicy changes than we did in the previous patch.

Edit: There’s one more tweet I missed – it looks like one of the goals of the upcoming patch is to slow down the speed of the game slightly. Nerfing Renathal opened a lot of room for burn decks to shine and it seems like devs (just like many players) think that the current meta is a bit too fast.
A soft goal for the patch will be to slow the game speed down slightly

is there any news regarding tavern regular achievement and end of tavern pass skins for dk?
Last one better mean they reverted Renethal’s nerf.
Midrange and the occasional Control deck was so much fun but now it’s all Aggro, Burn, Burn, Aggro. Be a frosty burn, a Fel burn, or the blistering burn of regular ol’ imp fire it’s still two archetypes with Rogue and Druif doing rogue Druid things somewhere. (And Mage still being the most unfun class to play against even though you win against them more often than not)
