This weekend, the first Masters Tour stop is going to take place in Las Vegas. Over 350 players will fight for their share of $250k prize pool (on top of another $250k split evenly between everyone, thanks to your support from Masters Bundle). But since it’s just the first stop, and the show must go on, Blizzard has just announced the third and final tour stop of 2019 – Bucharest, Romania.
The even will happen October 18-20 in PGL Studios, with a similar number of players and prize pool. Qualifiers start July 4 and go all the way until August 25. If you’re looking to play in one of the biggest Hearthstone events, this might be your last chance this year!
Here are the ways you can snag an invite to Masters Tour Bucharest:
Win or place second in an online Masters Qualifier between July 4 and August 25.
Win or place second at an on-site Masters Qualifier at Masters Tour Seoul.
Place within the top 8 of a Masters Qualifier for Masters Tour Bucharest 6 times.
Place top 4 in a Ranked Ladder Qualifier in the month of July or August (see official Masters Qualifiers rules for details).
Be a Hearthstone Grandmaster.
There are only so many people that fit the last listed criteria, but yes, the majority of the Grandmasters roster is expected to be there—including a local Bucharest Grandmaster by the name of Dima “Rdu” Radu. The city was home to one of the first large open Hearthstone LAN events in 2014 at DreamHack Bucharest, and the country has hosted countless tournaments since. In this respect, Hearthstone esports is very much returning to its roots in Romania for our European stop of the 2019 Masters Tour.
Registration for online Masters Qualifiers will open automatically two weeks ahead of each tournament start date. The first event will begin on July 4 at 6pm PT on the Asia-Pacific server. You will be able to browse the full schedule of Masters Qualifiers that feed into the event on Battlefy later this week.
