Vilebrood Skitterer Card Review

Meh. The obvious comparison for this card is Assassinate, which doesn’t see any play. One could say that it’s stronger, because it has a body – e.g. you can trade it into a Doomsayer and still have 1/3 with Poisonous on the board. On the other hand, the fact that it’s a minion means that it can’t bypass Taunts, so if your opponent hides a big minion behind any Taunt, even a stupid Righteous Protector, you won’t be able to pass through it.

I mean, yes, Hunter’s removals aren’t exactly amazing, but I still don’t think this is good enough. Hunter's Mark just seems better in most of the cases. Hunter has plenty of ways to activate it without necessarily wasting lots of value, like a single charge of Candleshot and such. Hunter’s Mark + Candleshot is 2 mana (and you still have 2 more Charges), this is 5.

Rush and Poisonous is a powerful combination, but I just feel like it should cost 4 instead – it would make much more sense to run it.

Card rating: 2/10

5 mana Poorman’s Siphon Soul for Hunter.

It’s still a Solid Card; regardless were you are or what Deck you got.

This is basically Hunter’s Assassinate, and like that card, I don’t see this seeing play when Hunter has tools like Kill Command and Wing Blast. They may not be able to always kill minions, but those cards are more efficient at what they do and tend to more flexible than this.

Granted, this might be a decent choice for a Zombeast component.

this is much worse than assassinate in the meta with voidlords, tar creepers, etc…

but you make a great point with zombeasts. adding useful rush beasts into the pool is a good thing for removing a minion and still having a decent threat on board afterword, and that’s pretty awesome compared to assassinate.

5 mana, rush and poisonous, this card was meant almost entirely for DK rexxar.

Overcosted removal. Assassinate doesn’t see play, and it can even go through Taunts and Divine Shields (this doesn’t). The only thing this has for Assassinate is powering up Hyena and similar cards. This is NOT the beast Hunter needs. 1.5/5 in constructed, 2.5/5 in Arena because any removal there is good.

Should be 4 mana or not printed at all.

Should be solid in Arena, where it’s basically an Assassinate that at least has a chance of being used multiple times. However outside of arena this will (just like Assassinate) see practically no play. No doubt a cool card to combine with Silverback Patriarch using DK Rexxar tho, lol!
