Mulligans
General Mulligans
Val'anyr - basically, it's your key card, always a keep in control matchups.
Call to Arms - well, this card is OP, what else to say. Helps you to cycle, improves your further draw and creates pressure.
Rallying Blade - makes sense to keep against Priests.

This deck brought me to top 1000 legend on EU (March, 2018), and I managed to get there undefeated from rank 5500ish.
The general idea of this deck is to get Val’anyr asap and break it while you have either Saronite Chain Gang or Doppelganster in hand. Then there are basically 2 options: 1) get into the value game and simply crush your opponent with huge minions and endless weapon, 2) if Val’anyr blesses Leeroy and you’re at 10 mana, Leeroy + Blessed Champion almost guarantees you OTK.
Call to Arms, Loot Hoarder and Blessing of Wisdom, Potion of Heroism help you to cycle through your cards very quickly, so chances of getting Val’anyr fast are pretty high. (Of course, sometimes you’ll be very unlucky with draw, but that’s just how the game works).
Blessing of Kings turned out to be an amazing pressure maker, especially if played after Call to Arms. Also it a good bait for Mass Dispell – your biggest fear in Priest matchups.
Consecration helps a lot against aggrodins. So far I haven’t lost to either murloc paladin or dudadin: you simply outvalue them most of the time.
Chillblade Champion is a good source of healing, plus sometimes it’s simply a good trading tool. If Val’anyr blesses this card, simply trade into a big minion like Drakonid Operative. You’ll get rid off this annoying dragon, heal yourself for 7 and get your weapon back (those “The Light shall burn you!” are priceless ^_^ ).
Ideas for improvement:
I was thinking of adding one copy of Equality. In matchups against Spiteful Priest you might get easily outvalued if card draw was unlucky.
Also in Chump’s video you can see that he runs Nat Pagle. Unfortunately, I don’t have the card, so if anyone could add it to the list (instead of 1xBlessing of Wisdom for example) and test it out, it would be awesome.
Played about ten games for fun with a variation of this deck around rank 10. Definitely lost every game I didn’t draw Valynyr on curve. Paladin could really use a cavern shiny finder. Although, I did have one insane game against cubelock. Ended up bursting him for 36 charge damage with chillblade after my Dopple gangsters dropped 9 valynyrs into my hand. One of the most fun combos I’ve played hands down.
So, overall, deck has potential. It can be really fun, or it can be really bland. All depends on if you get AOE against Aggro or weapon against everything else.
Yeah, and if that doesn’t happen it’s an endless struggle of useless cards in hand. Once again, I simply wonder why the author felt the need to lie about it in the description.
I really liked the idea of this deck, but after some trying I’m confident it’s nowhere near as strong as what the author is pretending. It’s pretty much auto loss on bad draw, and it happens quite often. I’m extremely curious as to how the author managed to go “undefeated”.
Anyone managed to successfuly play this?
The deck looks interesting. I only don’t have leeroy, is there a good replacement for him or not? (I think val’anyr buff on leeroy + blessed champion is 20 damage burst, and i don’t know wheter or not this is crucial in this deck.)
People are playing around with Umbra in the deck. Otherwise there are just solid cards like Lich King.
Solid deck. Was watching Kibler play a version with pyromancer equality and the value is incredible when Val hits a chain gang.
