Mulligans

General Mulligans

Overall, having a good curve is the most important thing. You can't afford to waste a turn in the early game.

Aggro Mulligans

Getting your early Taunts are important against aggro, as they help you survive until that Murloc Machine gets fired up.  Sea Giant is a good keep if you have other minions and are facing a Paladin.

Control Mulligans

Against Control, you want your murlocs up and running as soon as possible. Coldlight Seer helps them survive board clears. Spellbreaker is also super useful, especially in the mirror.

This deck is designed to take advantage of the Murloc’s insane synergy and the potential to make wide boards with Seadevil Stinger. It was inspired by SkyWalker’s Murloc Zoo from nearly 10 seasons ago; while not the most consistent anymore, it’s fast and a lot of fun. I guarantee your opponent won’t expect it!

If you’ve played Murloc Paladin, the core idea remains the same: swarm the field with Murlocs, then buff them with Murloc Warleader and Gentle MegasaurSeadevil Stinger might give you less minions then your Paladin cousin’s Call to Arms, but it has its own benefits: you get another Murloc basically for free, and can take advantage of its battlecry. Smart Seadevil plays are the key to victory (even though the damage from its battlecry doesn’t activate Lesser Amethyst Spellstone for some reason).

More then the Murloc synergies, the biggest strength of this deck is your opponent won’t see it coming. Cubelock is so popular and has such an impact on the meta that nearly everyone will mulligan like they’re facing Cube. This can give you the turns you need to establish a strong board presence and go in for the kill.

While it probably won’t do well on the ladder, it is a ton of fun!
