Mulligans

General Mulligans

Backstab - Keep this Card against aggressive decks; I don't recommend keeping it against Priest for instance as it doesn't hit many targets early.

Swashburglar - Keep this Card in every matchup; solid card that summons Patches.

Kingsbane - Keep this Card if you don't also have Cavern Shinyfinder (if you have both, mulligan away the weapon).

Cavern Shinyfinder - Keep one copy of this card without Kingsbane.

Mimic Pod - Keep this against Control decks (namely Priest).

Questing Adventurer - Keep this card on the Coin or with other early minions (otherwise mulligan away).

SI:7 - Keep with the Coin against all decks or keep with Counterfeit Coin/Backstab against aggressive decks.

Elven Minstrel - Keep with the Coin.

Hey everyone!

I’ve been experimenting with many variations of this deck over the past few days, and this is the best list I’ve come up with. The reason you have to emphasize on Tempo and early board presence is because the meta is very fast at the moment. This expansion gave rogue Elven Minstrel, which is a great card for fetching more minions (namely your Gadgetzan Auctioneer) as well as the Kingsbane package, which allows you to contest the board and deal lots of damage using your weapon. Otherwise, it works just like your normal Miracle Rogue deck.

I added these cards in previous versions of the deck, but they were taken out since they were too slow for the current metagame or for reasons otherwise mentioned:

Bloodmage Thalnos  – Even though this card works really well with Backstab and Eviscerate, I’m not sure it quite warrants the card slot at the moment, but keep an eye on this card as the metagame settles.

Luckydo Buccaneer – I’m surprised that more people haven’t been using this card in decks running Kingsbane. Most of the time it will be a 6 mana 9/9, which is really strong. This deck, however, focuses on making huge Questing Adventurers to pressure the board earlier on in the game.

Southsea Squidface – This is a totally viable card that you can run, but doesn’t complement the Questing Adventurer archetype well enough in my opinion. It still works well in this deck though.

Naga Corsair – Similarly to Southsea Squidface , this is a viable card, however it doesn’t complement the Questing Adventurer archetype well enough in my opinion.

Fal'dorei Strider – Another viable card that is slightly too slow in my opinion, but will most likely grow in popularity as the meta settles.

Envenom Weapon – Strong card, but Deadly Poison usually gives you the damage you would’ve needed.

Leeching Poison – I would run this card in a less Tempo-oriented version of this deck since it’s a bit too slow in this list.

Here are some other options I didn’t try in Miracle Rogue as of the latest expansion, but would work well in a more value-oriented style of Miracle Rogue (which in my opinion will rise in popularity as the metagame settles):

Elise the Trailblazer – The pack adds a spell to your deck that works with Auctioneer, and is just an all-round good card.

Sherazin, Corpse Flower  – Really strong card against Control.

Xaril, Poisoned Mind – Great value card, too slow.

Arcane Giant – I would run this card without the Questing Adventurers.

Thanks everyone! Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions.
