it even synergizes with malch imps, just wow.
So my old comment is out dated since i ether did not notice the decription or it was not up when i posted first. But still the trick with this to complete Quest on turn 4 so you can play the Reward on turn 5 this.
Playing first:
Turn 1: Play Quest
Turn 2: Use ablility to draw or play a card to discard
Turn 3: Play a card to discard if used ability on turn two or use ability to draw if discarded on turn 2. Or do if you drew on turn 2 but dont have a discard effeect do nothing so then turn 4 you will have a total of 7 cards so when you play this you discard 6 to complete quest.
Turn 4: Play this and laugh.
What happens if you have both voidcaller and Malch’s imp on the board and you play this, drawing a demon off of imp?
Question:
Turn1: malchezaar imp
Turn2: darkshire librarian
Turn3: coin+void caller
Turn4: you have zavas, silverware golem, tiny knight in hand, and play cataclysm.
how does the board resolve? does tiny knight gets summoned by void caller (before being discarded and after board clearing) and receive +n/+n?
Tiny knight would be discarded, since deathrattles would trigger after the spell resolves. Zavas would get +2/+2 and return to hand. Silverware golem would be summoned and not die to cataclysm. You would also draw 4 additional cards (3 from imp, 1 from librarian), then if there are any demons in those 4 cards, one of them would be summoned by void caller.

Becouse its not random at all u just discard hand wich can contain all the outlanders to discard together wich is completly insane but on top of it insta complete quest ? insane value insane tempo just queze into all that suff malchezar imp and you may have something realy busted

I am seriously regretting dusting that 2 cost legendary that gains stats from being discarded.
Having played Warlock Quest for a while now this does not trigger with Imp. But what this does help with is making sure that you can play the reward on turn 5. Like what Gul’dan said was talking to Garrosh about.

As others have pointed out, this card combined with Malchezaar Imp as well as other discard oriented card such as Clutchmother Zavas and Silverware Golem and the Warlock Quest could be really powerful together. This card may be the final push to make disca- oh wait, half of those cards are rotating out so that prediction might be wrong. The archetype could very well pop up in wild though.
Those cards aren’t rotating until next expansion, so it doesn’t matter until then.
Does Warlock REALLY need another board wipe? I mean, holy crap. Despite the low cost, this is a really bad deal for Warlock. Warlock usually has a lot of cards in hand, which just makes this card worse the more you look at it. Despite their ability to recover this hand more quickly, this price is just too steep to pay. An no, Discolock won’t make this worth it.
This is also a really bad card in Arena. Turns out Deathwing without the body just leaves you wide open for whatever is left in your opponent’s hand.

its perfect for quest warlock you can play insane quest reward at turn 5 infinite imps
Actually this card is quite good in Arena. You just save it until the opponent overcommits and board wide +tap, allowing you to regain tempo and still have cards. In top deck mode this card is insane. Therefore it deserves at least a 3/5 arena rating.
I’m excited for this, I like cards that have some balance to them. It’s just fun to live on the edge as warlock, discarding and paying life to try to claw out a victory. Maybe I will craft that blood queen…
I have the Quest, Clutchmother, and Blood Queen and I can tell you its lots of fun
Too bad Silverware Golem and malchezar’s Imp is rotating next year I might dust Clutchmother and Blood Queen but keep the quest just for this card

Aggro on a late turn with 2 malchezaar’s imps and a hand of 5 cards draws you 10 for the price of 4 and killing the board, which could be threatening lethal. Potentially you can also destroy the dinomancers with this and summon 2 doomguards (that you discarded) free of charge, and put 10 to face.

In control with 2 malchezaar’s, 6 card hand, and this card and Rin being 2 of those cards, play Rin, play this, draw 8 cards and get the first rune. By doing this you fill your hand with a lot of control cards and destroy your opponent’s board, allowing you to easily deal with anything they put out until you destroy their deck. Definitely loses to questmage, but crushes a lot of other control decks.

Well, depends if they do the effects separately, if the discard happens while the cards are still on the field, their power may activate, tough I agree the wording here is weird
just gotta wait till it is out to see how it works, if the Imps draw cards, this be busted and will negate the sideeffect and give you more card draw, otherwise, it’ll only be useful for discardlock and control Warlock with a Dino Egg on the field to hopefully get a 5/5 and/or enough demons to get a good round out of Blood Reaver Gul’Dan

Theres no chance they made a mistake in the text.
If you siphon soul a lightwarden, it gains 3 health before it dies, and siphon soul has the period (Destroy a minion. Restore 3 health to your hero.) I see no reason the Imp won’t draw.
I suggest you go right now and use siphon soul and pay attention to the order of things.

It hurts human intelligence that you didn’t try this out before commenting. If you use siphon soul on a lightwarden, it gains 3 health first, as I mentioned above. Do you have any reason to believe it works otherwise?

This card is designed only to make quest warlock playable. No other deck wants to destroy his own board AND his own hand……………..

This could work actually, filling the board with demons, eggs and good deathrattles, it has good sinergy with Discardlock, Blood Reaver Gul’dan, and whatever it is called a deck focused on destroying friendly minions for value

To compare it with Deathwing read the text.Deathwing says destroy allmother minions AND discard hand.Even in the animation of Deathwing these two things happen both at the same time.
Now in this card , board clear and hand discard obviously dont happen at the same time thats why they have a . pause in between sentences.

You’re not even right about how kazakus potions work. The steps of the spell happen sequentially, but minions do not die or leave the board until the entire spell resolves. For instance, if you get “deal 5 damage. deal 4 to all” and target a deathrattle minion like Cairne, the summoned minion does not take 4 damage. The only exception to this is defile because it actually recasts the spell each time as opposed to doing everything in one spell effect.

Wild pyro is an AFTER effect, that’s why. Malchezaar’s is a WHENEVER effect, thus activating before the full resolution of the spell. Minions only leave the board after all effects are resolved.
Like with northshire circle wild pyro:
Northshire is whenever, so before all the healing is resolved it draws, and when it’s all done wild pyro burns the board.

Was about to completely write this card off, then remembered the warlock quest was a thing….but that’s really about the only deck in which it could be even slightly useful….
