Echo’s Kazakus Secrets Mage

 Hey! Here i have my own take on the Kazakus Mage or “Highlander” Mage if you will 🙂

It’s pretty much the same grindy strategy as always, only i’ve added some more secret synergy.

I decided to add Counterspell as a 3rd secret because i wanted to test out Avian Watcher. Turns out it’s preetty good! Having the possibility to play a 5-mana 4/7 taunt, even at turn 8 with a secret, is very good especially in agro matchups.

Dirty Rat to lure out those combo pieces, or just to have a 2/6 taunt against agro.

Skulking Geist  to beat those jades. Also good against Priest.

Cabalist's Tome and Elise the Trailblazer for those extra grindy matchups, in which this deck tends to come out of pretty good! 

I’m not gonna list up replaceables here, because this list is mine, and just my own personal preference. It suits my play style nicely 🙂 

The game plan is pretty much to grind your opponent down. Early plays like Arcanologist, Doomsayer, Medivh's Valet, Acolyte of Pain, Volcanic Potion and so on will take you through the early game like a breeze. Keep the board as clear as possible, and focus on getting the most value out of your card. There is a reason these decks are also refered to as “Grindermage”. Outvalue your opponent with your huge variety of plays and possibilities.

Landing Medivh, the Guardian before blasting on those heavyer removal spells like Firelands Portal or f.ex Meteor will give you that extra edge in the control matchups.
