I’ve been playing quite a bit of budget quest rogue. I dropped Cold Blood. Prior to quest completion, you lose to much tempo playing a 3 mana card that doesn’t immediately advance the quest. Plus, your opponent also benefits from getting 2 cards. I’ve also dropped Fan of Knives. Again, too much loss of tempo. There are rarely multiple one health minions on the board and 3 mana is too much to pay prior to quest completion to get one card. I also dropped Violet Teacher. It is primarily useful post-quest completion to generate an extra 5/5 for each spell, but I rarely got more than one extra minion from it.
As replacements, consider 2xSwashbuckler and 2xGlacial Shard. Both are low-cost minions that could be the target minion for quest completion. Both can also help with board control both pre- and post- quest completion. The effect is random with swashbuckler since you don’t know what you will get. Glacial Shard always helps with its freeze battlecry.
I also suggest experimenting with taunts mostly for post quest completion. In the post-quest race, a taunt could be just what you need to finish off the enemy before he or she finishes you off. Bilefin Tidehunter generates 2 5/5 minions post-quest, one with taunt. The non-taunt can be recycled so that you can get another 5/5 taunt. Even Defender of Argus, though a bit pricey, can help by turning two low cost minions on the board into taunts to protect your face and can also be recycled.
I haven’t tried Stubborn Gastropod yet. Looks interesting.

Looks pretty solid! Any particular reason for the Stubborn Gastropod? It’s the only card that strikes me as out of place.
