Say we are playing control warrior-
–Fiery War Axe is better on turn two than turn four even if it is a 4/3
–Brann value is only in wild where it will be irrelevant.
–I play control warrior, you will only have 3-4 weapons- 2 war axe and 1 or 2 Gorehowl. Fools bane is not good enough.
–It is a rare. The chance of getting this in arena along with a weapon are low.
–Upgrade is better because it has value after you play a weapon, and playing the War Axe turn two is simply better, and if you used all of your weapons you get a 1/3.
–Against Paly its not good until late game when the four damage is relevant, Priest is going to have enough recover, and everything else simply won’t care.
Say its aggro-
–It is barely good. There are many better cards to play turn three
–It won’t exist in this new standard
Say its a “hold/taunt mechanic”-
–Will be relevant on turn three to war axe/hero power turn four. After that its useless because it loses value, and they can either overrun your taunts or they can’t get past them and its irrelevant you have the weapon

You are better off running Upgrade than this. Value your 20 dust

This card is completely insane!!!! War AXE 4-3 for 2 mana??!! In aggro deck you can paly a 6-3 weapon for 5 mana? Why not in Rogue this card?
One word:
Gorehowl.
Synergy with pirates deck maybe?
This one is really good. And it’s flexible enough to fit in a control warrior (lets say- fools bane synergy) or aggro. As its a battlecry, it can be played with brann. And the stats are good and as for now can contest with most of 3 drops.

They seem to really be pushing the whole buff a card in your hand idea. It might be bad for a bit but when the Standard year rotates, we will see because it will remove a lot of meta cards.
they said every family has a special attribute. grimy goons’ is buffing cards in your hand.
I like this mechanic because your hand would be “in field”, I mean, you have to play cards considering which cards you have in hand (minions/weapons) to buff or upgrade them. Really interesting but we need to see how competitive it is.
