I’m gonna be honest, when I reported the news about January season not counting and Blizzard having more esports announcements “soon” almost a month ago, I expected that we would hear everything by now. Alas, what we got today is yet another announcement of an announcement.
Blizzard finally broke the silence again, but they don’t exactly share much. All we know now is that the competitive season will start in March and we’ll hear more about the esports program in February. The last few esports announcements happen in December or January, so for us to not get anything until later in February is rather weird.
I wonder about the delay because it surely couldn’t have been their original plan. I hope for the best though and I’ll share the actual news as soon as we hear them.
