Battlegrounds Season 9 Preview Event Is Now Live, Get Battlegrounds Tokens With Twitch Drops

Patch 31.2 drops tomorrow with a new season of Battlegrounds. New seasons are always the biggest updates in the game mode, with lots of new cards, balance changes, and usually a new mechanic or minion type.

Sadly this time we don’t get any brand-new mechanics, and the patch is mostly focused on refreshing the current lineup. Season 9 will also introduce Hero Rerolls (you can change the Heroes offered to you at the start of the match by using Battlegrounds Tokens), which has been quite controversial in the community because of its P2W nature. But I won’t be recapping everything here, you can read more about Season 9 in the announcement post.

Battlegrounds content creators just got early access to the fresh seasonal content. They will be playtesting the new patch today starting at 9 AM PT (18:00 CET). If you’re interested, most of them will stream it on Twitch – just tune in to your favorite content creator and see if they participate!

Twitch drops are active across the entire Hearthstone category – players can get 4 Battlegrounds Tokens for watching for a total of 2 hours.

Patch 31.2 & Battlegrounds Season 9 should be out for everyone tomorrow (December 3) at 10 AM PT (19:00 CET).
