Shop Update: Tavern Pass, New & Returning Hero Skins, Diamond & Signature Bundles, Card Pack Bundles

Another shop update dropped today! Since it’s expansion day, the update is really massive. We have a new Tavern Pass (if you plan to buy it, you better do it early to get the XP boost as quickly as you can since they aren’t retroactive), new and returning Hero skins, Diamond bundles, card pack bundles, and even a refresh on Tavern Ticket bundles. Overall there’s a lot of buy if you want to spend some money (or Gold for that matter). Card pack bundles are ranked – what I have here are only Rank 1, if you know what’s in Rank 2 and 3, please share in the comments! Anyway, here are all of the new items that are available this week:

  • The Great Dark Beyond Tavern Pass (2000 Runestones or $20) – Access to the paid rewards track, which contains XP booster, a few Golden/Signature/Diamond cards, as well as lots of cosmetics. You can find a full list here.
  • Malygos Bundle (2500 Runestones or $25) – New Diamond Mage skin + 3 Mage card packs + 2 Golden Standard card packs.
  • Nathanos Blightcaller Bundle (1500 Runestones or $15) – New Tier 1 Hunter skin + related card back + 5 Hunter card packs.
  • Exarch Yrel Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Paladin skin + 5 Paladin card packs.
  • Lady Vashj Hero Set (1500 Gold or $10) – Returning Tier 1 Shaman skin + related card back. Originally available from the Ashes of Outland Mega Pre-Purchase Bundle.
  • Xuen Hero Set (1500 Gold or $10) – Returning Tier 1 Druid skin + related card back. Originally available from a shop bundle in January 2022.
  • The Exile’s Hope Bundle (3500 Runestones or $35) – Signature versions of Dimensional Core and Arkonite Defense Crystal + 5 Standard card packs.
  • The Spirit’s Passage Bundle (3500 Runestones or $35) – Signature versions of Soulbound Spire and Guiding Figure + 5 Death Knight card packs.
  • The Legion’s Bane Bundle (3500 Runestones or $35) – Signature versions of Shattershard Turret and Felfused Battery + 5 Demon Hunter card packs.
  • The Astral Compass Bundle (3500 Runestones or $35) – Signature versions of Biopod and Specimen Claw + 5 Standard card packs.
  • Diamond Askara Bundle (6000 Runestones or $60) – Diamond Askara + 2 random Signature Legendary cards from The Great Dark Beyond.
  • Diamond Saruun Bundle (6000 Runestones or $60) – Diamond Saruun + 2 random Signature Legendary cards from The Great Dark Beyond.
  • The Great Dark Beyond Bundle Rank 1 (2000 Runestones or $20) – 2 random Legendary cards from GDB + 10 GDB card packs + 10 Year of the Pegasus card packs. It’s a ranked bundle but sadly I don’t know what Rank 2 looks like yet.
  • Golden The Great Dark Beyond Bundle Rank 1 (4000 Runestones or $40) – 1 random Signature Legendary card from GDB + 12 Golden GDB card packs. It’s a ranked bundle but sadly I don’t know what Rank 2 looks like yet.
  • Tavern Ticket Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – Refreshed 11 Tavern Tickets (you can use them to start a new Arena run).
  • Tavern Ticket Mega Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Refreshed 25 Tavern Tickets (you can use them to start a new Arena run).

Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, unique Hero tray, or some extra visual effects. Some of those might also be included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins! Blizzard has added their own “rarities” for Battlegrounds skins, but they haven’t done it so far for Constructed (other than Diamond & Legendary Heroes).

New items usually stay in the shop for around 1-2 weeks – sometimes it’s longer (3 or more weeks) but I wouldn’t universally count on that, so if you’re interested in one of them, get them soon.
