Update: The hotfix has been rolled back due to an unforeseen issue (when queuing Twist, both Heroes were exploding and the match was tied). It will go live once it’s been figured out.
Update #2: The hotfix is now live!
Good news, everyone! We have our first Twist hotfix for the new Whizbang’s Heroes format.
First of all – over the weekend, people were using some software to access illegal decks in Twist, resulting in turn 1 wins. This patch will fix this issue. Cheaters have also been banned throughout the weekend. Blizzard will keep moni
On top of that, we have a bunch of Hero HP changes – the biggest one is Arfus, going from 35 HP all the way down to 25 HP. The Hero was by far the most powerful, and this is a significant nerf, it will make it easier for many decks to rush him down. On the other hand, the weakest Hero, C’thun, has got a +10 HP buff (from 35 to 45). Not sure if that’s enough, but it was certainly needed. A few other Heroes went up or down by 5 HP. You can find a full list below.
Those Health updates will likely drop weekly if necessary, but they obviously won’t be able to fix all of the issues. That’s why some larger-scale adjustments will take place at the usual balance patch windows. We don’t know when the next balance patch will drop, but I suspect it might take a few weeks.

June 3 Updates
Hacked Decks Update
Over the weekend, some players used unauthorized software to run illegal decks in Twist, resulting in instant win combos. We’re currently rolling out a hotfix patch to stop these cheats. After this update is out, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and make further bans as needed.Hero Health Updates
Alongside the hotfix update, we’ll also be rolling out our first Twist Hero Health Updates.Arfus: 35 → 25
Al’Akir the Windlord: 35 → 30
The Lich King: 35 → 30
Zul’jin: 35 → 30
Forest Warden Omu: 35 → 30
C’Thun: 35 → 45
Dr. Boom: 45 → 50
King Krush: 35 → 40
Arch-Villain Rafaam: 35 → 40
Guff Runetotem: 35 → 40
N’Zoth, the Corruptor: 35 → 40As a reminder, we intend to do Hero Health adjustments like these as needed, likely about once a week, and larger-scale adjustments (like Hero Powers, Passives, and decklists) in our normal balance patch windows. After looking at the impact of each round of changes, we’ll have a clearer idea of what and when our next updates will be.
Please note: due to the nature of weekly balance updates, we won’t be expanding dust refunds to the cards corresponding to Hero unlocks for changes to that Hero’s Health, Passive, Hero Power, or decklist for the Whizbang’s Heroes Twist seasons.
The Arfus deck is full of board control, lifesteal and acceleration.
Cutting some health points did nothing to really weaken the deck, because most preconstructed decks do not have the means to “rush down” the Arfus deck.
It is still on top by a margin
I just wanted to mention, that the final puzzle of the new Mysteries card back has been solved.
