Top Standard & Wild Legend Decks – Whizbang’s Workshop (Week 11) – June 2024

When it comes to Standard, the last week has been pretty… uneventful. Just as suspected, the meta is mostly stable and hasn’t changed much. The season has just launched and it’s the time when people share the most decks, so maybe we’ll see something new and unique soon. But I don’t think there’s a meta-breaker waiting in the shadows. However, if you’re looking for off-meta decks that are at least viable, Old Guardian has just covered them here.

The good news is that we got a new Twist format and it’s actually quite fun to play + it’s the most accessible Twist format so far. The bad news is that people have already started cheating (I won’t give the details but if you follow the format then you probably already know). And it completely ruins it. I wanted to do some Twist coverage early next week but I’ll pass for now because, in the current state, the format is just unplayable. Maybe the situation is better at the lower ranks (because cheaters will climb very quickly), but at the higher ranks half of my matches were vs cheaters today and I simply gave up. After the problem gets fixed and we get the first HP balance changes (they are meant to come weekly), I’ll do some Twist content.

I suspect the next expansion announcement mid-June so we’ll soon be entering another card reveal season. As I’ve said last time, I don’t think we’ll have another balance patch before 29.6 (expansion reveal patch), but maybe they will sneak in some balance changes into 29.6. We’ll see.

Below is a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.
