You want to be able to tap early as much as possible and keep your hand size to 8 or so cards. In the event you run into aggro decks Mulligan for:

Defile and Mortal Eradication are early spells to curb some aggro and preserve a bit of life total. 

Forge of Wills combined with Crusher or Anubisath is amazing. 

It helps you have Rotten Applebaum & Reanimator in hand for mid-turns to stabilize.
